That would be a disaster for AMD to have a nearly 3 year cadence.
Strix was a 2024-2025 product. Gorgon (Strix refresh) is slated for 2026. Medusa comes in 2027. This has been presented by leaked roadmaps for quite a while and, sadly, it fits.

Strix Point, equivalent of Medusa Point, was released in June 2024,

"Early 2027" for the equivalent product is 3 year cadence, and it is bad for AMD, since one area where AMD is lagging is quality notebook SoCs. Which means that AMD needs to iterate faster, not slower, in order to achieve leadership.

2.5 years cadence

Whether that is good or bad I don't have any comments

For ex:Mendocino is due for replacement by zen 7 grimlock point 4 — in 2028 to 2030 timeframe

I still expect Medusa Point in 2026, which would be fine.

I was responding to @marees and others, who think Medusa Point is going to be a 2027 product. My opinion of that (2027 release) is that it would be a fail on part of AMD.
There are many different levels of volume you can hit at a given 'launch' date.
In any case, "cadence" is a worthless metric unless you deliver on perf.

Yes, but there is a big difference if the starting, small volume is in Q3 2026 or if the initial starting small volume is in Q1 2027

It's better to have 0.9x of delivered performance improvement in 2 years than 1.0x delivered performance in 3 years.
