Now imagine the number of OEMs one could lure with a not cheap, big version of a graphics IP designed for cheap, minified iGPUsTrue OEM only cares about Cheapness
WCL-U is something that I would have thought but it's not a big Xe Cores but the IP is niceNow imagine the number of OEMs one could lure with a not cheap, big version of a graphics IP designed for cheap, minified iGPUs
OneXfly??? What a cringe name. Why not just OneX Apex?
It has a 85W.h battery and the STX Halo SoC shows pretty great performance at 20-25W, better than STX Point Z2E at that wattage.I always wanted to play my favorite games with high frame rate for 15 minutes before the battery runs out.
(It is probably restricted to less than 120W when not plugged-in, I know. Still, this is what I call "over kill".)
Probably? :-)(It is probably restricted to less than 120W when not plugged-in, I know. Still, this is what I call "over kill".)
And despite the performance lead at 20W, STX Halo's biggest advantage is not its untethered performance, but rather the fact that you can start playing big boy games on the go, and then reach a TV and keep playing with great performance and graphics on the big screen.

Phones do not have any games available to begin with.when it seems its only use is to play games that are available on a PC but not a phone.
Why would you amd halo handheld instead of android/iphone except pc games
I had to login for this...Phones do not have any games available to begin with.
That's kinda the problem.
Yeah mobile games exist but the demographic is different. They are like two different minds from a mental perspective. From what I've seen, PC/console gamers can't stand playing games on a small screen and the mobile gamers somehow aren't interested in seeing action unfolding on a larger screen. They are just two very different kinds of animals.Talk about the supreme troll =)
Mobiles are not gonna go anywhere with respect to gaming other than the existing userbase unlessMillions of 2d indie games running 120fps on potato cpu, genshin impact, fortnite, what else? Those types of games are very limited and almost always are PG13
on 2... High end phones (and even a few mid-high ones) effectively have enough horsepower to run most anything that the SteamDeck can. Granted, ARM vs. x86 translation overhead would be an issue...Mobiles are not gonna go anywhere with respect to gaming other than the existing userbase unless
1) they can be docked and output to a bigger screen
2) they can run Steam games
It's almost a solved issue thanks to ExaGear. Now someone just needs to pay off Huawei and make it an opensource project for mankind.Granted, ARM vs. x86 translation overhead would be an issue...
In my dreams Valve brings full Steam to Android and starts working on x86 to ARM translation. It's almost a solved issue thanks to ExaGear. Now someone just needs to pay off Huawei and make it an opensource project for mankind.
