Asus makes some of the best motherboards and some of the worst software. Armoury Crate is clunky, bloated, and far from performant. Asus must farm their software out to the cheapest contract they can find. There is no way I'm using it to get custom lighting on my motherboard. I've simply turned most of it off. The Matrix LED display over the IO looks kind of gimmicky anyway. The center OLED works without the software. The only thing I wish I could have is the Auroa LED surround lighting around the leading edge of the motherboard. I can live without it if it means not having to subject my OS to Asus software. Had it installed. It was a 1 and 1/2 hour process to remove all remnants of it. Asus doesn't believe in uninstalls that actually work. Fortunately, my Corsair Dominator DDR5 memory store the color settings on the module itself. No software needed after initial configurations in Corsair iCue.
