I mean is the X570 in the same tier as the X670E?
Several reviewers said that previously premium Intel boards were a clear tier above good AM4 boards, and that the AM5 "Extreme" version boards now caught up to them.

So I'd expect X670/X650 to be the same tier as X570, though how the tiers are segmented wholly depends on the manufacturer anyway.

Got tired of waiting for TechN to get their *stuff* together and offer requird new AM5 screws for mounting their waterblock on the new AM5 socket

New Optimus waterclock with AM5 ready mounting on its way :innocent:

Think the new one even look better :smilingimp:
EK Velocity² AM5 pre-order also getting cancelled

I know TechN is supposed to be marginally better due to putting the injector over the CCD's but the Optimus block is 99% as good. Been using it since I setup my 5950X 2 years ago, and I ordered a new one for my 7950x. Those guys are very responsive to CS requests and have fixed my issues right up as quickly as reasonably possible.

Seems like my sample is hitting 5.88 GHz on 280mm AIO. But my ambient is 10 degree Celsius.

Nothing tuned, need to update BIOS, the G.Skill kit is booting at 4800 MT/s instead of the 6000CL30

Windows 11 got corrupted after I booted with this new CPU. Ubuntu is fine.

Ok It seems limiting TDP, PPT and Tjmax is part of the AMD CBS :D
You can play with these three parameters to your liking.
You can tweak CO and stuffs but too much of a hassle for me.

I just set Tjmax in BIOS to 80, and leave PPT to Auto, around 36K points on CB R23 and 168W PPT.
If you set it to 85 you can get almost all the perf save the last few percent. But for me 80 degrees is fine.

System is very quiet and without the annoying chipset fan too.
And it continuously boost between 5.3-5.75 GHz in a hysteresis loop in order to maintain the set Tjmax when working in single core load.

Windows booted after it went to repair mode and did not ask for activation again.

I love this chip, it is so quiet yet hitting those insane 5.7+ GHz ST and can run all 16 cores on 5 GHz at 80 degrees on 280mm AIO

Did you get the memory working at 6000?

What in the world are you talking about ? I have the same GPU as AdamK47, a EVGA 3090TI FTW3, and its not a hybrid by any definition I have ever heard of.
Maybe I phrased it incorrectly, what I wanted to know is will the DGPU power down during normal desktop usage? That is what AMD told us. Probably it wont work with NVIDIA GPU.

That statement also makes no sense, but could be an English error. Any DGPU will be in essentially idle mode while in normal desktop usage.
