I am here attending a conference in Boston. The girl running the booth next to me had no plans for the night, so I invited her to dinner and then to the theatre (theatrical play). We came back, are the last two in the elevator, she turns and kisses me, and says good night. (I had also a few minutes before invited her to some famous place for dessert but she declined because she said she was tired.)

Should I have followed her out of the elevator???

Only if you felt like spending the night in her bed.

Part of my anatomy did, but I am NOT the wham-bham-thank-you-mam kinda guy. Some romance, kissing, cuddling yes...but all the way after having just met her today...that's not me!

you should have been blunt and asked her if that was an invitation with a sly grin on your face or something lame like that.

I won't know either, hence my suggestion of the question.

In terms of my personal morals and desire to be a gentleman, I don't think I should have followed her...I will be seeing her again tomorrow and at another conference in Denver in a few weeks time.

Wanted to, yes! Should have, no!

Your out of town man...on a trip.....BE A MAN! You'll never see her again, all she wanted was some fun, meaningless sex.

No worries, I don't pick up on subtleties very well either......

Right. However, being "a man" is just the typical low-brow "ugh grunt me fvck!" moron that most of the pre-pubescent palm-pilots here on AT think is the best or only choice for development.

GTA chose to be a gentleman instead of being a man.

Kudos.
