He has an M3--yes I know he has an S54 engine.

I don't have myself have an S54 but I have an S54 in a very roundabout way.

I'm getting myself an S54 tomorrow at 1030 😀

🙂

2002, 51 plate
52k miles : needs Insp I in 12-14k miles time 🙂
sat nav (cd based though 😛)
tv
HK
Recently had front discs and pads changed and rear pads
4 new conti's all around 😀
FBWMSH
1200 service done
all recall work done
£13k

Doesn't have
heated seats
electric folding mirror
strut ba

The main thing is around this mileage most cars needs discs, pads and new tyres and if they aren't done the lot will set me back at least £1.5k!

I've got a track day at Brands Hatch no the 25th that I'll book to see how the car works without a strut bar...it's also fairly hard finding one thats within a reasonable price...

The sat nav computer I 'may' upgrade to a mk4 so I can work it with the intravee II and kc 420i thing (read your post about it earlier! good stuff!) total kit I can get for aobut £225 off this forum member...

Can I come to check out your sat nav sometime to see how much faster it is over mine? I could get the mk4 and sell my mk3 on ebay. Do you use the 3d perspective?

I got to decide if the mk4 sat nav is worth it alogn with the ipod integration. Is it worth the £400? 😛

Cheers for all of your info and help by the way! Much appreciated!

Looks like we'll have 3 UK ATOT uses with M3's 🙂

The Intravee works perfectly with the Mk3 (cd) based nav. That's what I had in my car before I upgraded it to the Mk4 DVD based system.

The Intravee IS well worth it. The DVD Nav...hmmm, not sure, the 3D perspective mode IS nice and it is quicker, but if you're happy with the CD based system I'd say keep it, unless you get a good price on a Mk4.

We can certainly meet up. We should do a UK M3 AT owners meet, you, me and Rich. 🙂

hawt secks. Pick up chicks.

Yeah can't wait to pick it up 😀 been patiently waiting a long time...say...since I was 18 😛

The S2000 is pretty bad ass and pretty quick 🙂 very fun driving car with a sweet gear box 😀

Ohhhhh BAD ASS. I didn't realised the Intravee worked with the mk3! I thought it only worked with the mk4!

I'll get the forum members intravee and kc420 then 🙂

Cheers!

The KCA 420 should be no more than £50 brand new, so don't go spending too much.

Here is a link to my build, where I detail what I used, how I wired it and some nice pics:

Since then I have updated the Intravee to v6.0 software which has taken it to the next level. It now even keeps the cars system clocks in sync with the GPS satellite's!
