Sum up your view of George W Bush's presidency, all 8 years of it, in one sentence.

My summary:

He induced fear abroad and at home to improve security, but there's not much he really has to rest his laurels on (but China thanks him!).

You really want a serious answer to that? It will be the first time a presidency gets named for two people, "The Bush/Cheney Fiasco."

Bush had one good accomplishment...He destroyed the republican party for at least a generation. Hopefully the true conservatives will split permanently from the redneck/warhawk/evangelical wing of the party and join forces with the Libertarian Party...then maybe one day Americans will have a true choice between more government and less government.

If Bush/Cheney were politicians in any other country, they'd be tried on war crimes and human rights violations.

This is absolutely true and Osama Bin Laden will be hailed as a national hero! Hamas as the saints and sacrificial lambs for the liberation of Palestine. Iran and the rest of the Middle East as countries of peace while the USA is the country of everlasting sin!

Now are you feeling better? If yes, then it's time to wake up and smell reality! If no, then you are FUBAR! Go see a head doctor.

Torture is a war crime and a human rights violation you moron. Bush and Cheney are guilty of setting up torture facilities and sending prisoners (including noncombatants) to be tortured. WTF is wrong with you?

Funny thing is all you bleeding heart Libs were like why didn't you do more to prevent 9/11 and then he waterboards known killers for information and you admonish him for it.

Cannot have your cake and eat it too.

I actually respect GWB for making life uncomfortable for those pigs. Blindly giving terrorists rights they don't deserve to be better than the next guy is a pussies guide to keeping this nation world safe. Just ask the widows and kids who will never see their daddies/husbands again due to these bastards and see what they have to say about someones rights getting violated.

Nice combination of a false choice and an appeal to emotion there!

You did this by acting like there was no middle ground between acting incompetently in regards to the interception of terrorist attacks, and 'protecting us' by flagrantly violating US law, international law, the UN convention against torture, etc... etc. Pretty basic screwup on your part.

Secondly, if you think US actions and US law should be governed by asking people directly harmed by crimes what we should do about them, our laws are going to get really really stupid, really really quickly. I do find it interesting that you seem to admit we are violating people's rights, but somehow you don't care because you think they are bad people. Guess what: Your rights aren't subject to if someone thinks you're good or bad, and you should be very very glad for this.

So let say your family is on a trip to Chicago's Sear tower and it got terrorist attack and everyone die. If wiretapping can help prevent this, would you still say that your privacy is more important specially if you got nothing to hide from the government? You might call this hindsight 20/20, but it really isn't.

I have no problem wiretapping with a court order. Remember FISA???

Catastrophe. Don't let Air Force One hit you in the ass on the way out.

Hope people in this country learned a lesson over the last 8 years, whatever your political leanings, elect compotence.

Obama will be worse.

After 4 years of Obama we will want him back.

You can't come up with a single line to praise for GWB so you smear Obama before he's been elected? How trollish. I guess you're like the morons I see still proudly bearing W04 and Bush/Cheney stickers on your cars.

My sentence: GWB did more to harm this country than any president before him.

W = Worst ever

I find your post more of a trolling. The praise is there, you fail to recognize it. The praise is that GWB will be remembered as a better president then Obama. Will this be the case? I don't know (and I personally doubt it). Nice ad hominem on the drivers by the way. I see you don't mention the Kerry in '04 stickers that still exist on cars, and I am sure you can find old bumper stickers from prior elections.
