The crazy thing is a lot of this stuff still goes on in the world. Even the US government does some torture though not quite AS bad as these. I do recall an execution involving basically scalding someone to death in a jail shower though, that would be a brutal way to go as well.

there are only two appropriate methods to deal with that

1. nail his balls to a barn wall...set the barn on fire, give him a VERY dull knife.

2. nail his nuts to a stump...push him off backwards. (no knife)

I'd say lethal injection is probably the most calm and less painful way to go. You basically die in your sleep. They even sedate you before they give you the actual injection!

I've always had mixed feelings about capital punishment though. I don't like the idea of the government directly killing it's own citizens, but on the other hand, there are people out there who simply should not be part of society, like mass murderers, child molesters, etc. But then do you trust the government to decide who these people are that should die. They often punish people based on their own agendas and not based on what they did. Take Edward Snowden for example, he's a good guy as far as the people and ethics is concerned, but as far as the law is concerned he would get death penalty.

They can't get the good drugs anymore. Something about doing no harm by pharmaceutical companies who cause addiction, injury, and death with other products. Gotta love them.

Set up thousands of cameras, helicopters, drones, and record every second. Last man standing goes back to jail and lives out his life in peace, the rest are given a fighting chance. If you sell the TV rights the government could make millions on it. It would beat the shit out of Survivor and Big Brother in the ratings.

I thought about that too, isn't a heroin overdose a rather painless way to go? Don't they just go to sleep/pass out and never wake up again? If so we confiscate an absurd amount every year, guess the lethal dosage and give them 50X that.

It must be pretty pleasant as everyone I've reversed from it was really pissed at me for ruining their high rather that happy I'd saved them!

You kind of get high, your breathing slows until it stops then you die. If it doesn't work you just get high.

Amazing that we have had the technology and medicines to put people under for MAJOR surgeries in which a crazy amount of pain would otherwise be endured for quite a while now. Yet we can't seem to get it right when trying to kill people in a, at least I hope, a merciful way.

Why don't they just put you to sleep with anesthesia and amputate your head? Or something...
