Planescape:Torment. Maybe the best game ever made but wasn't a big seller.

such a good game.

For me I would say Divine Divinity, it's pretty much like diablo 2, just better.

The DOS-based LucasArts games:

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (HANS THE SINGING NAZI, for chrissake.)
Day of the Tenticle (And Maniac Mansion)
Rebel Assault

Oh, can't forget the PC classics like Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3D...

I think most people here failed reading comprehension 101, he said games that no one else has played.

two of my favorites.
im sad that new "prequel" sucks so badly.

i played me some privateer (which i saw mentioned)
i also played every infocom game known to man (i saw return to zork was mentioned)
i think few people played Norbert and Berts blahity blah title from infocom as well as douglas adams other game Beurocracy. a mind forever voyaging was a good one. leather goddess anyone?!

Beneath a Steel Sky was a great game i dont think too many people i know played. i was always big into adventure games even after they came and went so i tried to get my hands on all of them. Wodruff and the Schnibble was a great one that was sort of pushed aside, i think.

Where do you think I got my name? (datalink).

One of my favorite games ever (top 5 for sure).

I noticed that. Do you still ever play it? I might dust it off sometime soon - it is just THAT good. Lacking graphics is fine...it's all about gameplay.

But their mommy and daddy don't play those games, and they don't know anyone else as they never leave their rooms!

I don't know how many here have played it, but none of my friends did back in the day. The original Settlers that came on two floppies :) I was completely addicted.

Great game, 'specially for Trekies (Armada II, also :))

holy crap, I LOVED Star Trek Armada. Loved the second one as well. I installed the Star Wars vs. Star Trek mod, that was awesome. Nothing like blowing up multiple galaxy-class starships with a super-star destroyer. :)

i actually bought alpha centauri right when it came out. rushed over to BB after school to get it. heh, too bad i didn't enjoy it as much as other sid meyer games like civ1 and civ2. maybe having a slow computer that barely ran it contributed to that. heh.

i spent so much time playing wizball for the C64. the game took like 10 minutes to load, so once it was finally done I felt obligated to play for a long time.

airborne commando also got some serious game time.

now that I can buy/procure my own games, I really feel as though they're cheapened. I hardly ever devote myself like I did back in the day.

i had marathon 2 for some reason, I don't even know if it was opened. I'll check next time I visit my parents if it's sitting around, and I remember.

My friend and I used to play the demo version of Death Rally. Id steer, he'd man the guns and turbo. It was pretty fun.
