wait wait wait they put mother fuckin Sour Cream on their Chili? Christ maybe Chili's isn't that good, veggies in chili are Sacrilege enough, but Sour Cream, WTF? I might have to find a new place to eat this information is very troubling.

does Chili's even have Chili? Come to think of it I don't remember ever seeing it on the menu

They're more about the chili pepper than the hearty, meaty stew. Just look at their logo.

heh, a friend of mine saw Irwin Jacobs (one of the more recognizable names and faces in San Diego, and EE in general; founder of Qualcomm) scourging through the bargin bin @ a local Target.

WTF is wrong with being rich and going to Chili's?

Maybe Foxworthy liked Chilis before he got rich and famous, and still likes it?

For a chain restaurant, Chilis isn't bad. There are lots of chain restaurants that are really good, in fact.

Just because a local "authentic" restaurant has some fat dude named with a chef's hat in the back doesn't mean it's good.

Chili's has decent food; I almost always order their Chicken Crispers meal when I eat there.

I'll agree that local restaurants aren't guaranteed to have amazing food. However from my experience your chances of having a really great meal are better when eating local as opposed to eating at a chain.

If I am going to eat a chain ?bar and grill? type restaurant I prefer Cheddar?s.

Serious?

yes its a serious question WTF is wrong with being rich and going to chilis

B/c even poor people know that their tons of better options. Being rich, you'd think that he's had the opportunity to eat at better places and know not to go back to Chili's.

I guess you can take a man out of the trailer park but can't take the trailer park out of the man.

I love Chili's. Spoons was better until it went downhill.

I remember Spoons! When I lived in California the one near us was really close to the Chili's. One day we tried to go there and walked up and there were signs on the door saying "Closed for Remodeling." Those signs stayed up there for like six months until one day it finally re-opened. We went in and ate and the service SUCKED, and the place was a ghost-town. Two weeks later it closed again for a few months before re-opening yet again this time as "Spoons Express" where you had to order at a window and they gave you your food on a tray to take to your table. That lasted like a month and a half before that closed and the place was turned into a Hooters.

Maybe someone took him there? Don't be so quick to judge others.

Nothing at all. Folks just want to feel like they are better than someone else so they rag on where they eat, that's all.

Why is it important people where other people choose to eat? Simple, it's not.

I never said that eating at chili's make you a redneck. I was going with the OP's title.

I'm saying that you'd think that someone famous should have had the opportunity to eat at a wider range of places than chains and realize that chains suck.

If I want a burger, ribs or other pub food, I have some many better options than Chili's and some of those places are even less expensive than Chili's. Maybe, I'm lucky for living in the city and having those options. If I lived in the burbs/country, Chili's might be my only option.

Ok, here's the deal. I've lived in the area for 19 years. Foxworthy lives about 10 minutes from where I do in Atlanta, Ga; I'm sure it was him. There are TONS of restaraunts that are better than chilis in the area. Better food, better quality, better prices. Chili's just isn't upto par with the surrounding neighborhood of dining cusine.

Maybe he's doing advertising for them? Free meals?

I know lot of rich people. Some mega rich. They eat at same places you and I eat. Many of them love Waffle House. 🙂 When you're rich, you don't give a damn about what others think.
