His Name is Randy Boehning! :awe:

Republican legislator? Check.

Repeated votes against anti-gay discrimination bills? Check!

Posts as Top Man on Grndr? Check!

Outed sending an unsolicited dick pic? Check!

The exchange came to light when Dustin Smith, a 21-year-old Bismarck man with no known connections to the Capitol, contacted The Forum earlier this month, saying he recognized Boehning from a gay dating smartphone app called Grindr. Chatting under the user name Top Man!, Boehning sent Smith sexually suggestive messages and, in the early morning hours of March 12, an unsolicited photo of his penis, according to exchanges reviewed by The Forum.

"How can you discriminate against the person you're trying to pick up?" Smith said in a recent interview.

Rep. Randy Boehning, a 52-year-old Republican legislator from Fargo, ND:

Men do it to women every day. Now make me a sandwich.

I thought he might be from Idaho. His head is shaped like a potato.

He looks like Barney Frank's cousin...lol! He's just another self-hating conservative who looked to profit from those who love to hate.

From the nym it sounds like he prefers to pitch instead of catch.

If he was truly out to his inner circle and voted against gay protection measures then I can have some respect for him. If his potato head was largely in the closet and he voted against them as cover, that's a pretty despicable thing to do. His claims of being outed as retribution tend to argue for the latter, but perhaps I'm wrong. Either way, if he's not being honest to those around him, he needs to work on fixing his relationships before he fixes the nation.

Grndr provides Randy Boehning's dream eats . . . a hot sausage (with special sauce!) between his own toasty bun. :p

For conservatives, if sex doesn't feel dirty, it means they're not doing it right... Keeping it a secret apparently helps with that.

Any liberal who likes to look at pornography is guilty of the same thing, in my opinion, It's nothing but the titillation of sexual repression.

Pornography is like the sugar and salt in processed industrial food. It appeals to deeply ingrained impulses within us that are only unhealty in excess.

Indulgence or addiciton is unhealthy, but wholesale demonization of salt, sugar or pics of tig ol' bitties is just another misguided absolutism.

Like prohibition or the war on drugs or the war against same sex marriage, it's destructive, based in no small part on fear and ignorance (and projection), and bound to fail.

Lighten up. Don't be too quick to judge. Take the middle way.

Everything in moderation.

I can't. It requires the suspension of a reality I can't shake. What must appear as delight to some I see only as little children. The idea of lusting over children, I find disgusting. I don't want to feed an industry where children grow up to bump and grind for money to titillate my dick.

I have no objection to the notion that pornography appeals to something within us that is natural and even healthy, depending on how it is expressed. I see, however, nothing in the manner of appeal that is healthy.

My grandmothers died before I was born. Perhaps you felt my words implied there is something wrong with you. I mentioned my opinion about the extent of sexual repression even among liberals. I see porn as an exploitive industry with all sorts of unsavory connections. I consciously boycott the industry and am happy doing so. Perhaps there will be others who can be happy too, doing the same.

Some years ago I had been following a website for Glock handguns called 'Glocktalk'. As with many gun related sites the followers tend to be very republican and in one of the off-topic areas there was a thread about perverted pols.

I noted with interest that there were many many posts about this dem or that dem with comments about there supposed perverse tendencies. I followed up by agreeing and then added another pol that had been arrested for toe tapping in a men's bathroom as a means of making a gay hookup. I then said, "oh wait, he (Larry Craig) was a republican."

Within minutes several of the posters replied with anger that I'd mentioned a republican. A few minutes after that I was notified I had been banned from the site!

Now, as with most sites, there are policies and mechanisms to handle situations that might involve banning and this site had a policy or warning followed by temp ban and then, if problems continued, permanent banning. On the section of the site covering the banning process there is a item called "reason for banning" as well as the duration of the ban. In my case there was no reason given and the ban, on first offense, was permanent.

So, my offense, though not specified, appears to have been mentioning a republican in a manor that was only permitted for dems.

Yeah, that's tolerance for you. So far that's the only site I've ever been banned from.
