Agreed, but if he was voting against gay protections as cover, that's karma. If he was voting against them because of principled belief, fine. But if he's going to be trusted with power, he should be bright enough to figure out that this behavior WILL be made public, whether or not it should be. There are simply too many gay men hating the GOP to ever believe otherwise. Either way, it doesn't look good for him. If someone hacked him, fine, but just as with Wiener there should be no reasonable expectation that one can send pictures of one's junk to strangers and expect privacy.
As I understand it he said he was voting his constituents will. I can accept that even being gay. He is there to represent them afterall. While I loathe what the voted for I don't take too big an issue with that action.
From what I have seen he hasn't been outwardly vocal agains gays. He just cast a vote. Maybe I'm missing some information though.
