You have dandelions in your yard - comply or else

WTF! 10 dandelions in my yard and I get a notice to "remind" me that I'm not in compliance with deed restrictions. 10 dandelions, count them. Of course the threat of "if this is not remedied in 7 days legal action will be taken" is included.

I have half a mind to capture all the seeds and then dump them on the HOA presidents lawn at night, after a good rain so they'll grow nice and strong.

Do it. Or let them take "legal action" and see what happens. Somehow I don't think a judge will convict you for having 10 dandelions in your yard.

Also, take it to them at the next HOA meeting. Assuming the rest of your neighborhood has sense, they'll be laughed out of office.

I'll have to be cunning. Germinate them first in a small greenhouse so any pre-emergent she put down won't stop them. They're prolific little bastards.

They can threaten to take your house away for this stupid crap.

+1 for the dandelion sabatoge. Just make sure all the members on the board get some, too.

And watch out for cameras. Might want to wear a dark hoodie when you plant them.

Be sure and get pics of the offending board members yard and dandelions for the next meeting, too.

Ask if you can keep 8. Tell them you'll trim them daily.

I'd be tempted to have a Chemlawn truck filled with bleach, and fertilize the HOA presidents lawn for him when he/she's away.

Aye. I think there is even a provision for the kind of grass. No fescue for me, only pesky bluegrass. :(

If that's the downside of being in a HOA, the upside must be all you can bang MILFs on Sundays.

Oh Wow! So glad I don't live in a HOA area, my neighbors would hate me!

Or so he thought. One day, while reaching for his zipper, spidey found a note

Your penis does not comply with HOA guidelines. Please trim the bushes around the tree

Have you ever heard of kudzu ?
Its extremely tenacious and once it starts it tends to grow very very fast.

In all honesty I opened the letter, read the first few sentences and 2 seconds the dandelion bomb came to mind. I am now mulling over the consequences of this action/decision and weighing the pros and cons.

So far the pros have it. Blinded by rage I can see no negative outcome.

Holy crap

Once established, these plants grow rapidly, extending as much as 20 m (60 ft) per season at a rate of about 30 cm (12 in) per day

hmm, there's a large field nearby that is totally over run with them. I don't doubt I could fill a yard bag with dandelion seeds.

What started out as an idea of a small nuisance could yield devastation.

Legal action...yeah right. They'll just fine your ass.

Besides, how hard is it to pull 10 dandelions out of your yard?

These are japenese dandelions exposed to the same kind of radiation that produced Godzilla. Their tap root runs 6 feet deep complete with hard spiny barbs that go all the way down.

Not so easy to just pull them up.
