On the contrary, they are infinitely easier to make fun of because you talk about them.
Well even though I really liked my Saturn and it was only three years old (37k miles) when I got it for college in 1999, I could accept people making fun of a car that was only $10k. Same with my 1998 240SX even though when I got that one in 2002 they were going for $12-15k in even lesser condition than the one I bought with 70k on it.
My 2006 BMW M3 ZCP which had only 25000 miles on it is a different story. Many say it's the "Driver's car" of our entire generation. It's definitely one of the most iconic. Making fun of that is like bagging on someone buying an Aventor used saying they couldn't afford new.
My salary is currently in the upper 10% of the nation, closer to 5%. Now at 5% that's really not a lot compared to the next 4%, 3%, 2% and fuck me at 1%er's. I may get there though.
Hell you fucks even make fun of my charity donations which totalled a little over $10k for only animal ones last year. I gave about another $2k in checks, but most was handing out money at bins and buckets which I have to get out of the habit of doing so I can get some write offs out of it at least. I couldn't write even a dime off last year, it was too close to the standard deduction to make it worth while.
It'd be like saying Bill Gates is merely doing 'OK'.
