damn, Amazon has a sale on a blu-ray player but i also have it on my christmas list. I doubt I'll get it for Xmas, but I don't know for sure. I guess it could always be returned if i do get 2, but it's a hassle i'd rather not deal with.

I need to get some stuff that only Walmart carries "locally" afaik. This sucks - I don't want to go anywhere near that place today.

Dont see the 16gb card, just 4gb...? whered you get the 16gb?

Adding the Kingston 16GB Card instead of the 4 GB Card takes the full discount on the 16gb card. Although the card is OOS stock for now.

LOL... so true. Growing up, I always wanted a game console, Nintento, Sega Genesis, etc. Now that I can afford one, I have no real desire to buy one.

I just ordered this for my mom right now. I only saw the free 4gb too.

That was a great deal. For the most part though the deals really sucked across the board this Black Friday.

16gb deal is dead, but you can still get the Kingston 8 gb for free.

Look on Slickdeals for more info

 Where did you score that? You sure it wasn't the Arcade version of the XBox? The cheapest I've seen a 60GB 360 is $254.

I can't say I have ever really gotten anything from Black Friday. It's just an excuse for retailers to trump up all this really cheap shit and market it 200 bucks even cheaper. Case in point: all the LCDs being paraded around. I'd rather get a quality product for a bit more money than a piece of garbage for the sake of participating in an over trumped up sale.

My wife got the $199 Christmas Tree at HD for $49. She was in and out in about 10 minutes there. It was on her way to work.

I grabbed a Garmin Nuvi 255W for $199 and I got a $25 gift card from American. I was in and out in 10 minutes as well. It was right on my way to work as well. Best price on Amazon was $208.

It was stuff we wanted anyway so we grabbed them. Most other Christmas shopping was already done.

I had a blast spending time with friends, cracking jokes, drinking hot chocolate, and sharing stories with people. I went with one friend who spent $0, but came along to share in the enjoyment and help us rack up loot for the group. All this, despite the mid-20F temperatures and light wind!

Walked out of Best Buy at 5:17am with the LG Blu-ray drive ($99), SanDisk 8GB jump drive ($20), Transformers, I am Legend, and 21 on Blu-ray. Also picked up the WD 320GB Passport Elite disk ($99), which I'm currently using as I type to make a Time Machine backup of my MacBook. I spent about $270 after taxes, which isn't bad. I'm very happy and after a breakfast at my local IHOP, I'm ready for TV and bed. :)

Night y'all!

People called me stupid for waiting in line @ bbuy and wanting that LG BRD drive.

I did my standard "Buy everything a week ahead of time, then wander into Best Buy after the lines are gone and price match the deals at the customer service desk." As long as you go to the customer service counter while the sale is going on, they can do a return/rebuy for you (you don't even need to bring in the product or reciept if you used your Best Buy card :) ).

Got the Xbox 360 + 4 games deal, Logitech MX mouse for $59, and a Sony Camera.

You got lucky. The ad even said no price matching on the BF08 sales items. The CSMs should've put the brakes on your plan.

Canon SD880 IS $202.72 Shipped @ Dell.com

Samsung PN50A450 50" Plasma $597.99 @ BestBuy.com

Nikon CoolPix P50 $79.99 @ CircuitCity.com

That's because you didn't have to wait in line; Frys.com has it for $89.99 with free in-store pickup, or cheap shipping (and no sales tax in any state except AZ, CA, GA, OH, TX, NV,WA, IL and IN).

Newegg had the same drive for $99.99 shipped free as well.

And that Sandisk 8GB jump drive for $20? It was $12.99 at Staples (B&M and online).

Picked up a Sony BDP-S350 at Walmart for $179.99 via price match to Sears. In and out in 5 minutes. Had a gift card for $180. It was ridiculous because if you wanted to buy an item in the ad, you had to wait in line, and boy was that a long ass line.

I wanted to get a Nintendo DS from H-E-B plus for $99, but it is not worth it to wait in line.

Didn't really get much this year. The only thing I picked up was 4GB (2x2GB) of Crucial DDR2 SO-DIMM for my MBP... $15 after rebate.

My parents wanted to pick up the $799 40" samsung lcd, but it sold out everywhere. So, I ordered them the 40" toshiba lcd on newegg for the same price. I hope there isn't too much of a difference in quality.

All you people with your fancy B&M stores! :p No Fry's or Staples here, but they were on the shelves next to the other stuff we wanted, so...I guess it came down to getting it now or waiting a week to get it. Since I have the weekend off from work, the choice was easy. ;)
