And I didn't even have to put on any underwear to do it!

*points and laughs at suckers waiting in line at Best Buy*

FYI it's 37 Degrees with gusting wind around these parts.

Edit:
MY Loot: (guess I wasn't completely done at 4 am):
Transformers and Iron Man Blu Rays ($25 total) from Amazon
10 Blu Rays (6 Bonds, Stargate Continuum, Die Hard 4, and Windtalkersx2) for $60.40 from Amazon.
Sony S350 Blu Ray Player from Sony Style ($150)
Canon SD770 IS + 16GB SD Card for $160 also from Amazon
Left for Dead (360) from Amazon $40

$435 total :Q

All in all, I've purchased 16 Blu Rays in the past month after purchasing NONE in the last 9 months! I still haven't ordered The Dark Knight yet to boot!

It is my opinion Black Friday has just about jumped the shark. I passed the mall near my work at 5:50 am and the parking lot was half-full. Retailers aren't going to keep BF prices down knowing droves of people are coming in and buying everything off the shelves when they think they're getting a good deal on something.

Is this good or bad? I don't want anything. I looked at every single BF sales ad and found nothing worth spending anything on.

When I was younger I wanted a lot but had nothing. Now the tables are turned.

What cruel irony ...

Ever gone to a black friday sale? They only stock a handful of the actual "black friday deals" (limit 10 per store blah blah). The rest of the people get nothing or buy something else not on black friday sale. The store is counting on that.

My loot is getting to keep all my money in the bank. I'm not wasting my time on sales with tiny print that says only 5 per store or crap like that.

I am not participating in Black Friday this year due to the horrible deals they have put out this year.

Ha! 37 will be the daytime high here. My wife and her aunt are out shopping right now, they got up at 3:30am to do so. I'll do some shopping tomorrow when all the crazy moms are home nursing their bruises.

I bought a Garmin earlier this year (Nuvi 200) for $99 when it was on special at Best Buy - best $100 I have spent all year long! As for the TV...well...say it'll look better in the kitchen and go out together to find a nicer one. ;)

I had a blast spending time with friends, cracking jokes, drinking hot chocolate, and sharing stories with people. I went with one friend who spent $0, but came along to share in the enjoyment and help us rack up loot for the group. All this, despite the mid-20F temperatures and light wind!

Walked out of Best Buy at 5:17am with the LG Blu-ray drive ($99), SanDisk 8GB jump drive ($20), Transformers, I am Legend, and 21 on Blu-ray. Also picked up the WD 320GB Passport Elite disk ($99), which I'm currently using as I type to make a Time Machine backup of my MacBook. I spent about $270 after taxes, which isn't bad. I'm very happy and after a breakfast at my local IHOP, I'm ready for TV and bed. :)

Night y'all!

x2. I went through every add and could not find one thing that interested me or that I considered a great deal. BF is a marketing scam.

Only thing I've gotten so far is:

Fallout 3 (PC) for $30 from Amazon

There were a bunch of other things that had caught my eye, but I didn't need, so luckily they sold out before I changed my mind :D:
- 300GB Velociraptor for $200 (probably cheaper on eBay with cashback)
- Sansa Fuze 4GB for $50 (nice price, but I'm rarely far from a computer/laptop/DS and I don't use mp3 players at the gym)
- Logitech VX Revolution for $10 (not sure when I'd ever use this -- I prefer wired gaming mice, so if there had been a deal on a G9 instead, I'd probably be all over it)

There's still Cyber Monday, right?

I'm going to wait for Fry's saturday ads. The black friday ones look to be crap.

Other than the HD2600PRO for $19.99 AR on newegg thats about it for me.

I did my standard "Buy everything a week ahead of time, then wander into Best Buy after the lines are gone and price match the deals at the customer service desk." As long as you go to the customer service counter while the sale is going on, they can do a return/rebuy for you (you don't even need to bring in the product or reciept if you used your Best Buy card :) ).

Got the Xbox 360 + 4 games deal, Logitech MX mouse for $59, and a Sony Camera.

The other reason I took a pass on that one was that it's the older WD3000GLFS, not the newer WD3000HLFS which has SATA backplane compatibility.

Spent 0 dollars, I didn't see anything that was such a great deal anywhere. I'm looking for two $700 laptops, I'll probably buy them next week. BF 2008 sucks!

This morning before work I Newegged me a 1TB HD ($94.99 shipped), my server is down to 70GB free storage, so I needed to expand, only have ~3.5TB total storage on it right now.
