There's a difference between an excited fan and one that makes something like this. I like excitement, I like celebration.

(ps Last time I checked, the Sox wanted to get A-Rod just as much as the Yankees did.)

I've been wanting the Yanks to lose the series not because I was a Sox fan, but because I just wanted them to lose. But honestly, I really hate what I'm seeing now that the Sox won... They win one series against the Yankees, and all the sudden it's "We're the best team ever! Yankees SUCK!" Not to mention the plethora of stupid artwork showing up on the web.

Hey, Sox Fans (new and old), I've got news for you, 26 World Series Championships vs NONE. The Yankees had their third 100+ won game season IN A ROW this year. At the start of this season, Boston sucked. They pulled it together though and turned into a great team this year, but it's not over yet... Who knows where they'll finish next year?

I dont like the Yankees because of George's loose wallett and their cocky fans, dont make me hate you too.
LoL, ask any Yankee fan if they would have traded their 3 "100 game seasons" for a chance to avoid the greatest comeback/biggest choke in history to their hated arch rival. And yes, it is over for the New York Yankees, they have already made history. Winning the World Series for the next 10 years won't take them out of the record books.

Sure anyone would but sooner or later someone in baseball would have come back from down 0-3. It sucks it happened to the Yankees but thats the way the ball drops.

Same thing with the Red Sox sooner or later they are going to win a World Series... maybe even this year its just a matter of when.

I meant for the Sox 😉
Well in that case... Boston will probably resign Petey, Bellhorn, and Cabrera (Bellhorn makes chump change, I think 500K?). IF, and a big IF, Derek Lowe pitches insanely in the World Series I don't see why you wouldn't want to resign him with the better defense in place. Of course that means resigning Minky too, maybe even Reese. Hell I don't know who Boston will let go, everything's up in the air. All the people I thought would be dropped have come through huge in the clutch... If they win the WS, they will go down as the greatest Boston team EVER and who wants to dismantle that? 🙂

I hope you guys resign Pedro so we can beat up on him next year again. Keep Bellhorn too. He had a few good swings the last couple of games because Yankee pitching blows, but he does not scare me at all. Keep Minky and Reese. They dont scare me, even though they are both awesome defensive players. The one guy you MUST resign is Varitek. Be very afraid, he's a Scott Boras guy.

This has been a great year all around for baseball, heck the Astros may make it to the Series for the first time in their 42 year history, that's pretty dang big. Ichiro broke the single season hit record... The Yankees hit their 3rd 100 game year in a row... The Sox are the first team to come back from an 0-3 hole and win a series... I hope next year is just as big...

what a great series. Kinda a let down in the final game since it wasn't so close. But congrats to Red Sox on making history.

Now that the series is over, I hope you guys catch Game 7 today with Houston/St. Louis- another great series that has been drown out by boston/newyork.

Well D.Lowe is a Boras guy as well, and if reemerges in the World Series with great stuff I don't think Boston will be able to keep both... Tek will be resigned, don't worry. Nixon and Ortiz are already locked in Thank the Lord. Pedro hitting 96 on the radar with 1 day rest is very promising (made Olerud/Cairo look like a Little Leaguer), he will be a force with 5-6 days rest and fresh next season. Bellhorn (and Damon) were the main reason Senor Octubre and ManRam had close to 140 Ribbies apiece, his OBP% was like .050 points higher than Todd Walker's was last year. That is huge for that lineup to get on base. Plus Bellhorn has good power out of that little frame, it was shocking to see him hit it that far opposite field. His only downside is he does strike out as much as he walks, and his bat avg is well, average b/c of it. The good news is that he outperformed Todd Walker from last year (best SLG% in history) since Walker was injured, and he was better than Walker defensively, an overall sick pickup by Wonderboy.

Reese and Minky are mainly backups, but critical to protect a lead off the bench (like Minky with that dig like it was none of his business last night). If they don't ask for too much increase in pay, they should be back. Also Sox need them in case of an injury to Cahbrera or Millah!

Hitting 96 on FOX's gun? That's what you're looking at? Was that AFTER he gave up 2 runs and consecutive doubles before recording an out? Oh woopee, he made Olerud and Cairo look bad, so do most major league pitchers.

Yes, he hit 96 twice on pitches to Olerud and Cairo after the 2 runs were scored. It's like something clicked in his head and pissed him off. That's pretty dam impressive on 1 day of rest, you have to admit. Now imagine how he will pitch vs NLCS winner rested up... he should dominate them.

They were also saying he didn't warm up enough in the pen... so the first couple of runs were probably just warmups for him.

Pedro has not hit 96 since his injury years ago....when he was dominant. I was so surprised when i saw the 96 mph fastball....

Bellhorn's double may have been questionable, but the play on ARod's dribbler was BS and Jeter being put back on first left no doubt that their salaries aren't the only source of the umpires' incomes...

I'll assume you're a troll because nobody in their right mind would write the above. A-Rod was given the proper punishment, Jeter returned to first because that's the rule. (lobby to change the rule if you disagree) Most Yankee fans concede the call was correct. To call Bellhorn's HR "questionable" is to deny reality.

Anyone who doubts Bellhorn's HR is either blind or an extreme fanboy.

Let's stop crying about the umpires, sheesh. they weren't PAID OFF, my god. We got beat and humiliated by the Sox. Take it like a man.
