Umps feeling bad for Yanks now it seems. That was a ball.

Lmao, the umpires handed Boston the damn game last night *twice* and you ignore that while arguing borderline pitches here?

if "handed Boston the game" = "getting the calls right" then you are correct sir 😉

Bellhorn's double may have been questionable, but the play on ARod's dribbler was BS and Jeter being put back on first left no doubt that their salaries aren't the only source of the umpires' incomes...

BUAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA why did matsui stop running after the ball?? he saw the ball bounce off the fan AND BACK ONTO THE FIELD ROFL. they even interviewed the girl it hit between innings lol! as for pay-rod, it was blatant i wont even comment on the play lol. read the rules.

Typical yankee fan, blind to everything. Want some cheese with that whine?

HAHAHAHAHAH....Ah man.....he cracks me up.....both times the replays clearly show in favor of the Red Sox. I dont get how you can still argue about this.....

As a sad, disheartened Yankee fan, all I can say is congratulations to the Sox and their fans for a very gutsy performance all around. In the end, the Yankee bats failed to show for 4 games (credit Boston pitching as well) and the pitching staff couldn't sustain it's fast start. It really was a great series though and I hope it generated some renewed fan interest in baseball.

The curse is not broken yet. Unless of course you're already looking past the Cards or the 'Stros (see 2003 Yankees).

We won the ALCS in grand fashion, if we dont win the Series it would suck but it wont be that bad since we beat the Yankees...

That is what I was thinking.....Curse lasts until we win WS. Although might not having Schilling is almost a curse in itself....

Yeah, it's just stupid Boston Bandwagon fans who don't know sh!t about baseball. Don't worry.

I paid $180 to go to the game last night, to watch the Yankees stink it up from here to Boston. Boston is a better team, no doubt, but the Yankee collapse will be remembered for ages. I've never seen a team play less spirited baseball than the Yankees these past few games. Sure Boston is good, but they are not four-games-in-a-row better than the Yankees. They Yankees were terrible and I hope they're ashamed of themselves. They came with NOTHING. The Red Sox are a damn good team, but so are the Yankees. They played TERRIBLY. Come on Sp33d, run it in my face, we Yankee fans deserve it. I guess the only bright spight is that I saved a bunch of money on my car insurance. But the curse is still intact. I will root like hell for whoever Boston plays in the series.

Fine, I changed the thread title. You happy?

I always thought it was the Curse of the Bambino, meaning Babe Ruth's move from BoSox to the Yankees, but I guess it's more.

And yes, I'm a stupid Boston Bandwagon fan. I have no genuine love towards the team. In fact, if the Astros go to the world series, I hope the BoSox lose! 😉

Congrats on an amazing comeback. The Yankees need to blow this thing up. I would like to see them dump:

heredia
brown (even if it means eating a large partion of his salary)
clark
olerud
lofton
mel stotollmyre (sp?)
sierra

You know NOTHING about baseball, especially the Yankees, if you say that.
Clark had one of the best seasons off the bench you will ever see a bench player have, ditto for Sierra. These guys cost them nothing and turned in huge performances this year. John Olerud played fantastic for the Yankees down the run. Mel Stottlemyre has been Yankee pitching coach for nine years. Yankees pitchers have been great under him, when they actually had pitchers. You are judging who to get rid of based on one series. That's ridiculous.

Most Boston "fans" are Bandwagon fans. Yankee fans are the true fans that have to take all the criticism from everyone else. I'm glad the Yanks lost, cause they sure as hell didn't play like they deserved to win. I love and always will love my Yankees, but the lack of emotion displayed by them has destroyed our team image. WE were supposed to be the hard nosed players. WE the ones that would bunt and steal ourselves to a run. WE were the ones that wouldn't argue about nonsense.

Ermm... I don't think so. 😕

Let's see... Biggio, Beltran, Bagwell, Berkmann, Kent, Ensberg, Viscaino, Ausmus, Clemens.

Oh, okay, Clemens used to be on the Red Sox. But his last team was the Yankees. Viscaino came from the Yankees, too.

That is the curse....the red sox HAVE NOT WON A WORLD SERIES since they traded ruth to the yanks to finance a lame ass play.

umm Bagwell..one of the worlds worst trades.. Jeffrey Robert Bagwell (born May 27, 1968) is an American Major League Baseball player for the Houston Astros. He was born on the same day as the Chicago White Sox player Frank Thomas.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Bagwell went to the University of Hartford.

Originally drafted in 1989 by the Boston Red Sox, the next year he was traded to the Houston Astros for relief pitcher Larry Anderson; a trade regarded as one of the most one-sided of recent decades as Anderson subsequently became a free agent and left the Red Sox, while Bagwell became one of the most respected players in the Astros' history

Selected by Boston Red Sox in 4th Round (109th Overall) of 1989 amateur draft.

Do you even follow baseball?

Sup ThePresence, that must have been devastating to be at the worst game in NY history (and best in Boston history). But you're still lucky to have gone... many fairweather NY fans (who we aren't hearing from now) couldn't even tell you the starting lineup of NY, let alone go to a game 😉

Yes NY played horribly, and looked scared out there until Petey came in. I can't even imagine the pressure both teams must have been under last night. The curse will be lifted when Boston wins the WS, I don't see either the Stros or Cards beating them after "the comeback". Too bad the Yanks can't get rid of the curse that is SlapRod. BTW, were you one of the ones booing ARod after he struck out in the 9th? It was pretty dam loud, even from TV.

Yeesh - throw me a fricken' bone here! I'm sorry if I don't know about an obscure one-sided trade.

I was booing everyone the whole game. They played worse than my local little league team.

Don't forget Bagwell was a top prospect in the Boston farm system when he was traded away for a half azz relief pitcher name LARRY ANDERSON. Another BOTCHED trade from the now defunct Dan Duquette (thank god) era.
1B Jeff Bagwell: Traded by Boston to Houston in 1990 for RP Larry Andersen.

Though only a minor league prospect when he was traded, the shipping of Jeff Bagwell to Houston in 1990 has gone down in history as one of the worst trades in Red Sox history. Bagwell, a draft pick of Boston's in 1989, was traded for relief pitcher Larry Andersen in a pennant drive. Andersen lasted all of that summer in Boston and failed miserably in the post-season. Bagwell has gone on to hit 380 career home runs, gain four All-Star selections and win the 1994 MVP award. The Sox would love to have Bagwell back patrolling 1st Base at Fenway Park. Bagwell would have filled a huge void at the position for the last dozen years.

Sp33d, you will now know what a fairweather fan is. People are gonna suddenly wake up and realize that they've been diehard RedSox fans for years. Show them NO respect.

They did not play like a little league team, but they sure as hell were mananged like one.

Yeah, this is going to be a new experience (bandwagoners for the Boston Red Sox?? who woulda thought). My Boston bandwagon radar will need some adjusting, it was only slightly honed to pick out NYY ones.

WTF are you talking about? I have no problem with any of Torre's moves. A guy can only manage with what he has. He had NO pitching.

<-- Sad Braves "Cant do crap in the postseason" Fan

I've been wanting the Yanks to lose the series not because I was a Sox fan, but because I just wanted them to lose. But honestly, I really hate what I'm seeing now that the Sox won... They win one series against the Yankees, and all the sudden it's "We're the best team ever! Yankees SUCK!" Not to mention the plethora of stupid artwork showing up on the web.

Hey, Sox Fans (new and old), I've got news for you, 26 World Series Championships vs NONE. The Yankees had their third 100+ won game season IN A ROW this year. At the start of this season, Boston sucked. They pulled it together though and turned into a great team this year, but it's not over yet... Who knows where they'll finish next year?

I dont like the Yankees because of George's loose wallett and their cocky fans, dont make me hate you too.

Hey now, they're just excited (and they have every right to be). How would you expect / like them to react?

You hate me, I'll hate you 😉

Hey GeekBabe, it's not over yet, I'll bow down when they win the series 😉
