There's a P226 version.

Really good holster. If you're looking for a two clip, tucked-in shirt rig, you're not gonna find one on the shelf, but these are still a hell of a lot more full-featured than a simple soft IWB holster. Adjustable angle on the clip and adjustable retention coupled with the formed plastic inside the leather make it a pretty damn good holster.

Pretty sure I saw a tuckable on their site. Maybe not...

Kinda mad that I didn't order the alien sooner. I just hate kydex and had gone so long without having to worry about tucking...

My local store sold a SCAR 16 for $7,500...the only items I bought back then were curios/relics...their prices remained pretty stable.

My old boss sold an unfired HK MR556 for $8,000 on gunbroker during the panic.

I sold over a hundred 30 round windowed pmags on gunbroker for between $80-100 a piece. I bought them for under $15\ea :whiste:

Questions about AR15 magazines.

Need some Magpul PMags, which online store has the best price? CheaperThanDirt has some G2 at $10.34 plus shipping. Good, bad, ugly?

What is with G2, G3, G4, and so on? What are the differences in them? Are those with windows worth the extra cost? TIA.

G2 vs G3 is just some minor changes. Gen3's will fit some guns that the Gen2's wont. But for your standard AR and user you wont notice a difference.

10-11 bucks for a Gen 2 seems to be about standard. For a windowed its more around 15-17. For Gen3 non windowed are more 12-13. Windowed still seem to fll in the 15-17 range. Hope that helps give you an idea. ANd that is non sale prices. You can al most always find them a bit cheaper some where now a days

Windowed vs non-windowed is just personal preference. I have both and usually just use the non-windowed. But then again i usually just use a 10 rounder too. Windowed has its advantages like if you are in the woods plinking and stop and take the mag out and go down range or something and come back you can see how many rounds are left. But for general range use i dont think it matters which way you go as you should know how many rounds youve fired anyways.

I think Gen 3s also include a dust cover for the mag? You buy the covers for the Gen 2s but they cost like 75 cents a piece.

I ordered 10 pmags from PSA on black friday, they were $9 a piece + shipping.

Svnla, PSA (palmettostatearmory.com) has a deal this weekend, 6 PMAG's and a 36" soft rifle case, for $90. Figure another $7 for shipping.

If you value the PMAG's at $10/each, that means the rifle case is ~$30. I've heard nothing but good remarks about this deal in the past, and if you need a case, I'd consider it.

What do you know. I found some 9 mm ammo at the local WalMart today. This was the first time ever in this WM. It was the Winchester brass 100 bulk box for $26.37 (Academy was $26.99) plus sale tax. Limit was 3 boxes of ammo per person per day.

I also went by the local Academy but the only cheap 9 mm they had was the Monarch brass 9 mm for $12.99 per box of 50 but no limit. I went by the Hunting counter and asked if they have any .22LR and low and behold, they had some. The .22LR was Federal American Eagle for $2.19 for a box of 50 plus sale tax but only 2 boxes per person per day. <sad panda>

Marvd - I saw that deal too but I really want Magpul mags plus I already had a rifle case from Academy from Black Friday for $30 and PSA charged me $11 for shipping.

Merad - Thanks for the tip.

Velli - Thanks for the explaination.

The gen 2's do come with dust covers or at least all that I have...

Both Cheaper than Dirt & Surplus Ammo (SAA) are both bad names from Sandy Hook but just to be clear most every dealer went nuts and made promises they could not keep and talked shizzz... (not all but most)<...........<..........<

Also you do not have to be a loyal customer to them but hard to pass up good deals if the shipping cost does not kill it...

BTW I have always just bought my AR lowers complete but just now in 20 min with nothing but a printed parts diagram with part names I assembled my first stripped lower with enhanced parts kit and buffer tube kit and like DAMN that was easy... Frick'in common sense a pair of needle nose pliers, small pin punch, small ball peen hammer, med channel lock pliers and a roll of electrical tape and I was done and its perfect...

Again DAMN that was easy...😉 AR10's are next...😎

I used to buy at places that gave you free shipping for a thousand rounds, but havent seen those deals lately.
Cabela's was doing this for a while... Bought a butt load of the 5.7X28 ammo when it was on sale started out at $5.99 for $100 and over orders then went to "free" for over $100 orders... Might still be that way but gotta catch the sales...

Midway seems to be the best though... (got a ton of notify when available set up right now)

I used to buy a decent amoutn from CTD. Even bought two of my guns from them. But Sandy Hook showed what a money grabbing company they are. Same with SAA. Those liars can rot in hell as far as i am concerned. Same with Aero Percision (who makes SAA's parts).

So many people were anti this company or anti this company during the high prices yet i always laugh cause i see them posting about going back to those stores to buy things. Not me. I remember who screwed over their customers ot make money and with so many other choices who didnt....ill gladly pay 5-10 bucks more to get it from a good company who is truly there for their customers instead of out there for money.

As for guns...i decided to try to refinish my m44 and type 53 stocks. So far its....interesting lol. The m44 stock i used a "stainer remover" type product and it worked ok. Pretty much just need to sand that one now. I also found out that boiling the stock (i have a special pot for no food use boiling) helped to get the finish off and also the cosmoline that was deep in the stock.

The type53 stock is a PIA though. The stain remover didnt work. Nor did the boiling. Guess im just going ot have to sand it off or something. Just weird that nothing seems ot even take a little of the finish off

I hear you. I won't deal with companies like CTD, no matter what deal they may offer.

I bought 2 Mosin Nagants a few years ago. One for fun and the other to refinish.

I guess my thing is I did not try to keep up with the buying frenzy that prompted all of that crap to happen... While I agree what they did was not right I shop for the best deals now that things have calmed down even if it is from those places... But will say again that CTD is so frickin high on their shipping plus I have to pay tax that nothing there even on sale interest me... I have bought a couple of lowers from SAA but do not care for their uppers and now like what I am getting from PSA and a few others... If there is one that really pissed me off during that time it PCO and I am still in a battle with them and their BS... Got part of my items and money back but no where near what I paid in...

Not into the Mosins but that one in the pic sure is purdy...

action...

Just to add I got my 2 PSA stripped lowers in yesterday with 2 enhanced kits and 2 buffer tube kits the total was... $236.96 shipped...
Were supposed to be blemished lowers...? Not a mark on them and perfect finish...🙂

yeah Ive heard most of the blemishes are internal and almost impossible to detect

Well I finally got the toy I wanted in today and set it up... Have to decide on the optics but I for sure see a green laser on this one... Should be a bad to the bone 100 yard weapon... 50 round mags means dont stop...😎
