Ugh, wish i bought them instead of the Federal.

I just saw that Buds got a shipment of particularly good condition Mosin Nagants in which is tempting.

I was able to score 3,000 rounds of wolf 9mm from a local quick-stop style store that also has an FFL, but it is wolf military classic.

My battlestar galactica replica Beretta Cx4 carbine just loves wolf ammo, and shoots great groups with it, so if anything it will work well.

Only paid $500 for all 3,000 rounds. .16 a round for factory 9mm is pretty good, even if its not reloadable.

That's pretty damn good for practice ammo.

I bought 500 rounds of Wolf ammo, it shoots fine, but there is either just less powder or the powder does not burn as completely when compared to American brass cased like PMC or AmEagle. Might be the primer, or the bullet on the Wolf is also seated a lot deeper in the case. 16 cents a round is a great price, but I don't know if I'll buy any more Wolf. (This was WPA, not Military Classic).

Isn't the new p227 a double stack .45?

Also, the p229 is smaller than the p226. Do you mean the p220 is an upscaled p226?

Yeah, meant p220. And yeah, quick look at Sig's website showed the p227 in .45.

In any case, I've heard a lot of "Sig's quality has gone down-hill" talk but I've yet to see much evidence of that in teh range reports. The Mosquito apparently sucks, but from what I've read it always sucked. If I had the money, I wouldn't hesitate to put it down on a SIG.

Finally a decent price for 7.62x51 ammo!!!!

https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/product/orderId/1144516/productId/24770

These guys have some instock. 20 round boxes for $10.99 with a flat shipping fee of $6.95. So the more boxes you order the cheaper the cost 🙂 At $10.99 it's only 55 cents a round. Considering every place I've seen thus far has been 90 cents or higher right now this is damn cheap.

1960's (which by itself wouldn't necessarily be an issue) and corrosive... very light bullet weight as well.

Just snagged 500 rounds today of Lake City 7.62x51 (2009 production) at $14.99/box. Pricier than I wanted to spend, but the brass alone could recover about $100.

Haha, when I started it I literally had no idea anyone here even liked or knew about firearms. Now it's one of the biggest threads here...weird.

There were a lot of other threads similar to yours as well. None of them caught on though. You probably just kept it going by replying a lot and asking questions. Now it is the defacto official gun thread.

Yeah that Santa Barbara 112 grain stuff is corrosive and probably won't shoot very well in a lot of standard battle rifles (AR-10, FAL, SCAR). And it's corrosive.

I'm guessing you ordered the Lake City stuff from PSA this morning? It's a good price in this market. You're going to receive your order around March 7th, FYI. I hope you didn't need it right away.

Yep. I probably have 2 - 3 orders with them from January I'm still waiting on. No big deal. I must have been one of the first to spot that they put it up on the site. Ordered my 500 and posted to m14forum letting people know. Was out of stock about 10 minutes later.

Yeah, would not TOUCH that stuff. Even if you paid me to.

anyone able to find Hornady Critical Defense or Speer Gold Dot in 9mm in stock anywhere?
Critical Duty is equivalent and SGAmmo has it. But they're going to make you bend over for it. 80 cents per round plus shipping.

Already canceled the order 🙁

side note my ruger 10/22 from J&G came in 🙂 I also picked up a bushmaster XM-15 A3 model 90940 as well!

The 227 isnt quite out yet, think its not till March when i heard. it was only announced at the SHOT show. I love my 226 but just dont think i'd go buy another 45.

Like many things the mosquito started out pretty crappy. But the vast majority of issues has since been resolved and they now shoot just fine. Mine has had 2k+ of federal bulk through it with no gun-caused issues. Only issue has been from ammo (failure to fire which isnt to uncommon in 22 ammo) Same sort of deal happened with the 556's. Had issues with the first run and now they are just fine. Happens to others, Rock Island's 10mm have had issues with the first ones through production, but now most seem hammered out in the latest production runs. Seems like everyone just hangs onto the first reviews they see and doesnt try to find more recent ones.

Remind me, did you already get an AR in .223/5.56, or is this your first one?

I already have a nice stash of Gold Dots.

Good thing too, my local store was completely out, even in 25 and 32. Are all these paranoid assholes really under the impression pocket pistols will save them from the apocalypse?
