He let his state growers license lapse. The feds aren't involved. He just didn't keep his paperwork up to date at a state level.

Pretty ridiculous that this would be treated as someone defending himself otherwise.

True Federalism was dealt a mortal blow in 1865 and was put out of its misery under FDR. Federal law matters to state level officials even if it technically doesnt.

Since he let his license expire, the amount found is a felony. Had he kept the license up to date, the feds wouldn't be involved and it would be a SYG case. Obviously the feds need to take MJ off the controlled substance schedule and let it go. Stubbornness is their thing tho.

This happened last Dec and now the woman, Miya Ponsetto, has been charged with a felony hate crime. A grand jury indicted her on charges including unlawful imprisonment, as a hate crime, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated harassment.

It remains to be seen whether much will actually happen here, but hopefully at the very least she will be extremely inconvenienced and out a lot in lawyer's fees. Probably it will all just get pled down to take a class and don't do it again.

I believe him when he says that he was just joking.
Jews, Asians, Blacks and women usually hear that about 5 minutes before the "PC culture is out of control" line.

Meanwhile that black officer gets to spend the rest of his career at that precinct with everyone claiming in hushed tones that he only got the job because of affirmative action while simultaneously becoming the official "black friend" people will claim to have to deflect accusations of being a racist prick.

Just so I understand Karen attacks a black woman and the police claim they don't have the authority to remove her?

I guess it's just the Ron Johnson defense. It's fine if white people commit crimes. The woman with phone is right. Imagine she tried to attack a white woman, police not only would have arrested her but a beating would have been likely.

This is the kind of shit we endure daily. Absent the recording the black woman would have been arrested.
