I have so many because we happen to have that many here. None are actually titled to me, but nobody makes payments on any of them because they were all purchased outright, and the two drivers here (my father and I) have an agreement that we'll drive whateverthefsck we want, based upon whatever's left in the driveway when we leave. Many old cars to serve single purposes costs less to buy AND to maintain than one new car that has to serve all purposes. The only place you lose is parking (and the fashion contest).

I saw (and passed) 9 Porsche 911's today. I was driving a minivan. I did not feel insignificant. My vehicle is not an extension of my penis, even though I could most definitely use one.

my dad has only had 2 cars in the last 18 years .
my mom also has only had 2 casrs in the las 10+ years

Zuh? I've only been in two accidents, one when I was 16 (hit in driver's door at an intersection), one when I was 17 (rear-ended), neither of them my fault (other person's insurance paid everything in full) ...
