Hatch. Not a bad little car, bought it with almost 300K miles for $375. My brother is still driving it almost two years later, including several 1800 mile one way road trips & some serious abuse in a friend's gravel pit.

Leaks oil like crazy but it just won't die.

kinda complicated...my dad works with the world bank, and he was posted to india, so we get relocatoin benefits etc. this adds up to about $15,000 for me, plus they pay for half my tuition since i'm studying in the US and my dad is posted here in Delhi. SO, i combined that with some savings, and my dad helped me out a bit as well....
also, world bank = diplomatic = duty free purchases, which means that in 5 years i can sell it for more than what i bought it for. (duty in india on imports is ~110%)

actually i was wrong, its closer to a toyota 4runner than a gx470. same chassis in all though. the prado i have has a 4 liter turbodiesel though. and yes, i have taken it off road.

It's ridiculously fun to drive and easy to maintain but sadly, it probably won't exist in 10 years as a production model
