i was born in 1966

by dad bought a car for me to drive in 1982, a Datsun B510 station wagon , half peeling yellow paint and half primer. the back seat was missing/replaced by a wood bench and it had a 8 track player with a single speaker laying on the front passenger seat floor and the back axle had been replaced with something off a truck and it was too narrow, so i had to keep the air shocks in the back pumped up (to keep the back up high) so that the back wheels wouldn't rub the wheel wells. had that car for about 2 years and it died one day, the timing gear finally wore out and the timing chain woulnd't stay on, so it wouldn't start/run.

also drove a dodge station wagon while still living at home/with parents, i think it was a 1971.
also drove some old ultra crappy chevy station wagon in 1985, it had a fuel leak near the carberator, i almost exploded that car a couple times. it got like 8 MPG because of the leak and it had a giant gas hogging V8.
had a yamaha 400 motorcycle at college in 1985 also.
oh and a honda 360 in florida/another college in 1984.

after i joined the navy in 1986, i had no vehicle until i got out of boot camp, then i bought a 1985 Yamaha FJ600 motorcycle. then in 1987 i bought a 1984 Chevy Citation 4 door hatchback. i kept that car until i was getting ready to move from Bremerton WA to Saratoga Springs NY in 1992.
Nov 1989 we bought a 1990 Mazda Protoge 4 door brand new. that is the only car i have ever bought new. still have this car, it starts fine, runs ok. about 185,000 miles on it. plan to keep it until something important breaks.
1994 i bought an 1987 Isuzu 4x4 pickup truck, kept that until 1997.
1997 i inherited an old 1990 Pontiac 6000 4 door. kept that until about Jan 1999.
1998 i bought a 1997 Saturn SC-1 from my mother in law, i still have that car, i has about 118,000 miles on it
2001 (or maybe 2002, i forget) we got a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager mini van, still have that , it has about 110,000 or so miles on that. the A/C is a bit flaky, so i dunno how long we'll keep it.
