Why did you put so much effort into this thread. Most people would be like "Yeah I got in an accident cause an old person didn't know what they were doing" and then they would go on to tell the cost. But for Pete's sake, why does everyone think that you have to insure the car the moment you drive it???
Most insurance companies cover you for 30 days when you get a new car. Can't you guys get that through your head?
When you guys buy a car, do you have your agent meet you at the dealer, or the PO's residence? WTF?
He's not un-insured.

Don't assume it's 30 days. It's 7 days here. I've bought many, many cars, and I know this number well. There have been so many cars I doubt I could even make a list from memory anymore. (You also have 10 business days to transfer the title or a late fee is added to the transfer fee and the cops can give a ticket for failure to register/transfer the title.)
