I was a salesperson for 2 years sold Hondas/VWs/Olds/BMWs and the car that was in the most considering how many we sold was the VW then BMW then Olds and Honda. There is a very small market for cars like that in most areas. People hear tricked out or modded and a Huge majority wouldn't bother asking any other questions. If all goes well in.......12 hours and 45 minutes, I'll be probably like 5 days away from owning the pimpest car a young aspiring pimp could have

EDIT: Ah 300 HP. I'd be surprised if that amount of HP is capable of a low 13 1/4, but either way that's a lot of power. Assuming the upgrades were done well and the engine isn't going to destroy itself any time now it could be a good buy. I wouldn't expect great longevity out of it though. That's a LOT of extra stress on the internals.

I thought that he said the 300 was at the crank though and not at the wheels after the tranny has had plenty of time to rape some power out of it...? I'm using a 350 Z as a baseline. 287 HP at the crank and 14.3 1/4 It's a different platform than the VW (probably better for 1/4s), and is a full second above low 13s!Originally posted by: SammyBoy

as for a 300 horse jetta running low 13's....I think its pretty reasonable. I'm not an expert by any means but if a vr6 thats heavier and puts 170 to the wheels can run ~15ish I'd imagine a 300hp turbo that'll put traction to the road better could be well into the 13's. I think you'll have to buy it and find out
