i ordered this deal as well and after the initial email that they have received the order, nothing came after that. I think they didnt even charge my credit card yet.

I ordered two, saw the estimated ship date and figured that was fine, if it ships sooner, great.
We're all a bit spoiled at how fast dell normally ships other stuff.
If it doesn't ship by the 12th (my estimated ship date, ordered the 27th), I'll look into canceling or getting some sort of concession. I ordered well aware that this one may go into the wire, it's hard to believe anyone else here would have any other impression.
If the wait is too long, simply go buy one of the other sub $210 8800gt's (clocked or not) sitting out there.

I called in today just to ask about my order (ordered on the 27th, 12/12 estimated ship date). The rep asked me for my customer number and then verified my products and order date. I didn't say anything else and was offered an upgrade to Next-Day shipping. I didn't even get a chance to pull the pissed off customer act. She re-iterated that my order would ship on or before the 12th. It makes me a bit more hopeful but I still have my doubts.
I called.. didn't sound pissed off but like frustrated.. and they didn't upgrade anything...lol

They will say anything to get you off the phone. I've had Dell CSR's tell me that my order would ship within the hour only to have it randomly canceled.

Mine is supposed to ship tomorrow as well, but I am not holding by breath.
There is a little hope however. It seems like many places are getting new cards or about to get them (best buy, ewiz, buy.com, ...) . In most cases the ship date is around 12/11 so it looks like all of those retailers should get a shipment then.
well i got kind of bad news, just chatted with dell rep, and he says that as of now they are still out of stock, and that they might be delayed. bt he said to check tomorrow again.
whoops, why did I post in this thread? I bought the MSI! I ended up using my paypal discount for a 1 TB drive for my htpc.
I ordered on the 24th but got revised ship date of 17th. Just tried online chat but there were 81 users ahead of me.
OMG!!!!! are you serious.. i ordered the 26th.. this is really pissing me off.. i just built my self a new computer, and i cant test it becuase i dont have a pci express card. I have an 6800 agp in my old computer...lol..

For what it's worth, I spoke to a couple reps last week (can never get good info from just one!) and was told that my 11/26 order from Home had a "maximum estimated ship date of 12/24" even though the estimated ship date is 12/11. I pointed out that "maximum" does not really work with "estimated". The odd thing is that my 11/30 order through EPP had a "maximum estimated ship date of 12/19 even though the estimated ship date is 12/20. Evidently, the Home backup has little or no effect on EPP purchases and I should receive them (if at all) in reverse order. The rep also upgraded me to next day delivery, but that gives me little confidence--after all, if the thing never ships, they lose nothing in offering a more costly method, do they?

Well, they may have underestimated the dell-mand. If Dreamhardware has 5700 backorders for $238 (MSI), can you imagine how many Dell is attempting to process at $208 that has been advertised at all of the deal forums and high traffic tech sites?
If it just went out, Dell would have tracking information on pre-made tracking slips but it wouldnt neccesarily be updated in dhl' system right away.
