Xbox360 vs. PS3 poll!

Ok, I have read a lot of articles that say the 360 will have a much more powerfull video chipet, 48 pixel pipes compared to 16 on the PS3. What is your speculations of this and which system do you think will have the most power?

Well, I'm gonna say that one of the main reasons PS2 fanboys love to say over Xbox was the vast majority of PS2 games. Fortunately, for round 2, Sony won't have the near monopoly of Japanese game dev's like they had in round 1. The high initial cost to develop PS3 and Microsoft's commitment to have a team of engineers ensure that everything works properly and codes easier for Xbox360 swayed a lot of dev houses over (that and a lack of Sony doing the same).

Xbox360, because it's easier to code for.
You can have all the power in the world, but if you can't code for it, then it's useless.

I second that insinuation of ban!

J/K.......... Too much to worry about in life so I don't really even want to think about it.

They said the PS2 was hard to code for too, but I guess people picked it up.

just checked out the demo kiosk at walmart.
what a dissapointment.
not that i was expecting much anyways.
id wait for revolution and or ps3.

the only game that somewhat impressed me was the ghost recon game, but since i havent liked a single rainbow six/socom/blah type of game..i certainly wont be buying the system for it.

Why was it dissapointing for you? I buddy of mine saw it last weekend, and it had it's own version of BSOD. The Walmart clerk couldn't get it working again.

i was expecting a huge leap, hd gaming..etc.etc. or at least a significant leap.I didnt see anything that a fairly modern pc couldnt replicate reasonably.

Did your Walmart have it hooked up to a HDTV, or one of their normal displays that the other game systems are connected to?

the odd thignwas they would keep cutting away from in game footage during the video demos, pgr3 and ghost recon video demos were the worst offenders.
objectively, i really just wasnt impressed, admittedly i am skeptical of the system from the get go..so sometimes people see what they want to see.

That's too small a set to determine what HD gaming would be like IMO. They should have set it up like Best Buy did for the new Madden. They had a 60" DLP screen showing the Xbox version, with a sofa so you could sit & play, 20 feet from the door. You had to see it as you came in the store.
