dude you will save like $20 or $30 getting a used console.
just pay the extra "premium" and get a brand new one.
360 is one of the few electronics that i would NOT buy used.
are u refering to getting an arcade and the $30 HDD bundle from microsoft.
or spending 300 to get the 60gb.
i personally dont need a ton of space. just need it to play XBL
so 230 sounds better than 300+. newegg has free shipping and no tax on items. woot
If you want to play on live, then you'll probably start downloading demos and extra maps depending on the games you play. Get the console new, get the 20gig hard drive. It's not worth buying a console THAT'S KNOWN TO FAIL used. You can't penny pinch when it comes to high priced electronics. You'll kick yourself later. If you can't afford a new console then you shouldn't be buying one.
its not a case of affording it,, just dont wanna go crazy. i always end up spending way more than i want. i end buying extra games just because. that i dont usually play soo yeah heh
Well then don't buy stupid games you don't really need. What you DO need is a new console with a fresh warranty and stuff that you KNOW hasn't been abused or banned.
if i didnt already know that, i would maybe take that as an insult
🙂
yeah ill probaly do the arcade/bundle. get the headset as well. good times.
whats the turn-around rate for the 20gb from MS
Microsoft ships stuff pretty quick. I called them last Saturday about getting a part. They shipped it to me in less than a week.
I'm going to go ahead and agree. You're better off buying from a friend or buying a new unit. The old design motherboards have the heat design flaw. If you can get a falcon (65nm CPU/90nm
GPU@175watts)...that's great. If you read up online, you might be able to find a new Jasper (both 65nm CPU&GPU@125watts)...they just started shipping. It's not about performance, it's about less heat.
The last year or so, they've really started making some good 360s with a much lower failure rate, but you still want to do what you can to protect your investment. Buying a unit with a Microsoft warranty is advised. $50 per wireless controller and $30 for the hard drive....you're not paying all that much extra for the warranty and knowing that it's NEW.
