WTF Family Guy???????????

Whoa...last night's new episode killed off a major character. Just plain didn't see that coming! This is going to change the whole dynamic of the show.

Extra Characters so you can't see the spoiler. (I could still see the first 8 characters, which was enough to infer.)-DrPizza

Brian was my favorite character on the show, though the new dog they introduced looks promising. I'm thinking Seth McFarline (who does the voices of Stewie, Brian, and most of the minor characters) needed to cut back on his work so he could focus on his other projects.

Not to nitpick but you may add some extra characters in/bt your first paragraph and the spoiler. You can see the spoiler hovering over the title of the post. 🙂

Yeah that blew me away. Holy cow.
By the end of it I was thinking "holy shit, there's no loophole here... this is really happening."

I know Macfarlane has expressed interest in ending the series. Maybe he's obligated in some fashion to continue, and this is just him thumbing his nose at those holding it over him. Who knows...

Yea brian was one of the best with stewie but give it a bit and see what happens as it's a cartoon show and not a show that has to stick to a death like this.

The League

I actually see a loophole as further series seem to have the dead character in the title. Maybe the next few episodes will have Stewie working on his time machine.

Yeah, no loophole at all. Because a cartoon that has a talking matricidal gay baby with a time machine is completely rigid in their story lines.

I'm thinking that this is an unannounced 2 or three-parter.
Brian
will come back eventually.

Synopsis for the next episode:
When Peter and Quagmire discover that their singing voices create beautiful harmony together, they form a singing/songwriting team, in the vein of Simon and Garfunkel.
However, tensions run high when fame gets to Peter’s head.

Supposedly "Confirmed" plot for 2014: An unnamed episode will guest star Maya Rudolph as a runner whom Brian falls for and Glenn Howerton as the publisher of a children's book written by Joe. The episode is slated to air in the fall of 2014.

Upcoming episode titles include:

Brian's a Bad Father
and
Brian the Closer
