My friend got this message via Facebook, turns out they "met" at a party or whatever..

---

It looks like you can't make lunch=).

Since I won't be able to compliment you in person anytime soon, I want to send you this.

I know I don't know you and I am running the risk of coming off a wierdo or even a stalker with this long email=)...which I am not=). Whatever the case may be, my intention is to compliment you, so I hope you can simply take this for that. It should be a fun story anyways=).

I'm sure it's nothing for you and you probably don't even remember it, but I was complimented that day when you walked up to say hi at John's party. For that, I want to take the time to compliment you back.

I introduced myself to practically everyone that day, initiating all the introductions. But, out of the 15+ people I met, you were the only one who walked up to introduce themselves. For that, you were the most awesome person I met that day!=) Some might think it's trivial, but I think that's a great quality you have and I want to compliment you for it.

I also want to apologize. Like I said last time, I feel bad we didn't really get to chat much that day, especially since you came up to say hi. I was in the middle of a conversation with Miller when you walked up, and I felt I might have came off a bit cold by not really following through after you said hi, which was far from what I intended to do if that was the case. I'm all about meeting new friends.

I'll be totally honest, yes I was in the middle of talking to Miller so I was a little distracted; but, more so the fact was I was a little caught off guard. I was a little caught off guard the cutest girl in the room walked up to say hi!

When I first walked into the house, you stood out like no one else. I remembered telling myself, wow, the girl sitting on the couch is cute! (I know, you've been told this a 1000 times...here goes 1001=). What was ironic was I told myself I will introduce myself when she gets up. I planned on saying hi to you, but I didn't plan on you walking up to say hi to me instead. I'll shamelessly admit, at that moment, I froze for a sec standing there like a little boy in the school yard bumping into a crush.

After I finished talking to Miller, I was hoping to catch you up and about again to chat before I had to go, but aside from the "cupcake interaction"=), you were on the couch most of the time...surrounded by guys=).

At anyrate, this isn't about 'hitting on you' or 'asking you out'. I just want to genuinely complement you for your openness, friendliness, and for your "stop any man on his track" beauty!=) Take this simply for that.

I promise to say "hi" first if I see you again=).

Enjoy your day!

Whenever you write "i don't want to come off as a weirdo" you're coming off as a weirdo
