sounds like an accident to me. sheesh.. the big huge red "BREAKING NEWS" sensationalism has to go, unless it's a real serious incident.

Yeah it's just an accident that can potentially kill dozens of people, no biggie

Wow, whole dozens of people dead? In a city of 9 million or so people? Good God the humanity!!!

People die every minute in this country. It's unavoidable and it's not important. If it actually is important to you then you need a hobby.

And is each one not a tragedy? 😕

How many people must die before it's worth paying attention to?

MSNBC is now reporting that the helicopter looked distressed before it went down.

Why would it be a tragedy? Is death not a funadamental and unavoidable part of life? Honestly, I'm just trying to be realistic about this. It's a tragedy for the people that knew the deceased. For the rest of us it really doesn't matter.

I guess I just don't understand why people get so worked up over death. It happens, get over it already.

In an ideal world, everyone would live into their 90s, with full and happy lives and then suddenly die painless deaths. Everything else should be considered regrettable at the least.

WNBC just announced that the FAA just changed the story to a fixed wing aircraft on visual flight rules and not in contact with any ATC. Very interesting....

You don't just fly into a building "by accident" in good visibility. This was intentional.

Woah, that's certainly overreacting. We have no idea what was wrong. Control malfunction, mechnical failure, heart attack, mid air crash, hysterical blindness, etc.

Just to play Devil's addvocate for a moment what makes your ideal world ideal?

As for the second part of that post, to say something should be regrettable implies that there is cause for regret. What reason do you have to regret the passing of a person that you don't know and most likely never would have?

There probably won't be any black boxes in a GA.

NORAD has dispatched fighter craft over several U.S. cities but Homeland Security has no intelligence suggesting Terrorism at this time.

DJI drops about 60 points upon immediate news of this happening. Back up a few points now that it's been said to be an accident.
I think that was because of the Fed comments...

Not necessarily... there are many other buildings in the vicinity that are "better" targets. this doesn't smell like terrorism. what if the pilot had a heartattack and loss control? just for arguements sake.

You sir, are a troll.

I should have known better than to state my viewpoint in a reasoned manner to the ATOT crowd  Easier to ask who I was before I was banned and call me a troll than actually answer with your brain rather than your emotions why the deaths of ordinary people you've never met should be important

Meh, I'm done with this thread. Flame away.
