Eh, nobody writes the date like that. 10-11-06.

but we don't want to wait another 54 years for 10-11-60 to turn it upside down to 09-11-01

OMG! The $20 bill spells 'Osama' because it has the letters o, s, a, m and a in it! Oh no! Every piece of paper (I'm excluding electronics, here) is linked to 9/11! Even you are, without knowing it. We're all responsible, oh no!

Geez, man. This is an accident? More than likely. This is a terrorist attack? Less likely, highly possible. If it's a terrorist attack, it was commited today because 10-11-6 says 9-11-01 when you turn it upside down? Not a chance.

sounds like an accident to me. sheesh.. the big huge red "BREAKING NEWS" sensationalism has to go, unless it's a real serious incident.

Yeah it's just an accident that can potentially kill dozens of people, no biggie

Wow, whole dozens of people dead? In a city of 9 million or so people? Good God the humanity!!!

People die every minute in this country. It's unavoidable and it's not important. If it actually is important to you then you need a hobby.

And is each one not a tragedy?

How many people must die before it's worth paying attention to?

MSNBC is now reporting that the helicopter looked distressed before it went down.

Why would it be a tragedy? Is death not a funadamental and unavoidable part of life? Honestly, I'm just trying to be realistic about this. It's a tragedy for the people that knew the deceased. For the rest of us it really doesn't matter.

I guess I just don't understand why people get so worked up over death. It happens, get over it already.

A tragic, unplanned death is hardly comparable to natural death

You still haven't explained why I, as an unrelated observer, should care. How does this affect me? Why should I find it important? In what way is this relevant to my life? Etc..

Wise man says "Why must one have to thread crap?"

If people died from this, then it is a tragedy. It may not affect you personally but it will for the family members involved. Rather then mouth off and bleat why you must give a darn, you can instead look the other way.

Aircraft departed from Teterboro airport in NJ. A friend of mine, who is a PA cop, told me that there used to be many crashes over there at that airport.

In other news, over 2600 Iraqis were killed in September while they were greeting their liberators, the United Sates.

I was just going to say, this will probably be the last straw for that airport. Remember the freaking plane that skidded onto a highway last year? I wouldn't doubt if it is shut down.

In an ideal world, everyone would live into their 90s, with full and happy lives and then suddenly die painless deaths. Everything else should be considered regrettable at the least.

WNBC just announced that the FAA just changed the story to a fixed wing aircraft on visual flight rules and not in contact with any ATC. Very interesting....

Just to play Devil's addvocate for a moment what makes your ideal world ideal?

As for the second part of that post, to say something should be regrettable implies that there is cause for regret. What reason do you have to regret the passing of a person that you don't know and most likely never would have?

How about being a socialized human being?

And these occurances diminish each other how?

Leave it to ATOT to try to find ways to write off people dying just because "it happens all of the time"

He's not trolling. US military obviously went in shooting indiscriminantly.
