WSAD or arrow keys?

Do you use WSAD or the arrow keys? i use the arrow keys since my first fps was rainbow six and that's what i got used to...just wondering how common this is...

my control scheme is this...

arrow keys for movement
enter = action
numpad 0 = jump
end = duck
r shift = sprint
pg down = prone
delete = reload

i just can't get used to wsad...

I used to use ESDF but then I just switched to WASD because every damn fps is configured for WASD. If your remap to ESDF then you have to remap the keys E and F were mapped to

:thumbsup:

I introduced a friend to Unreal 2k3 back in the day, and he had never really played an computer fps before, it was great watching him play with the arrow keys 🙂

I remember watching my mate's sister try to play Doom DM. Every time she got to a corner, she'd stop, turn and start moving again 😕

I started with Arrows and never looked back.

Yes the default is far more "economical", but I'm doing fine with the arrows 😛

I had a friend that used Home/Delete/End/PageDown, I honestly just had to lmao when I first saw him use it...

LMAO I gotta teach myself that 🙂 🙂 🙂

Shizzle.
How about arrows and CTRL ALT SPACE?
Back in the day that was more than enough for Doom and Duke 3D.

Tried using a mouse in Doom95. Just wasnt the same.
I guess I'll have to wait on the Classic Doom project for Doom3.

not very, WASD offers you easier access to other keys, like R for reload, space for jump, etc.

Yep. I usually use WASD, the number keys for weapons, r for reload, q and e for using stuff, shift for crouch, space for jump, F# keys for other things.
