I don't think he qualifies as a terrorist.

Since he burned his own house too (and the plane is gone as well), I'm gonna guess the IRS is pursuing collection of back taxes. Sounds more like despair and anger drove him to 'revenge'.

Sounds like he got caught up in Obama's "hope and change" and then had a melt down when it didn't happen.

If he's protesting the IRS to the point of killing himself to hurt them, I doubt it has anything to do with Obama unless he's a total loon. Surely that kind of rage and dedication has to grow over the years, after exhausting all other options.

Oddly enough I am listening to Rush. He just quoted someone who (I think, wasn't listening closely) blamed it on Bush and exclaimed that he (Rush) wouldn't have even thought to blame it on Obama.
 
Crap, and I was about to send in my taxes for my return. How much longer am I going to have to wait now get get my return back?

Yeah, his taxes were only an arm and a leg.

I'm assuming he was facing prison and loss of everything. I've seen similar things here in Chattanooga - guy gets popped for tax evasion and loses his primary home, his home on the lake (what kind of idiot has a 6,000 s.f. home on the lake twelve miles from his 6,000 s.f. home in a subdivision anyway?), one guy had a huge mansion on twenty acres or so. One guy had a freakin' cigarette boat. (Anyone familiar with the Tennessee River and its impounded lakes near Chattanooga should find that hilarious and scary.) It's amazing that people who could have wonderful lives risk losing all to have extra-wonderful lives. Of course, I'm speculating, maybe he was being royally screwed over.

Hope the IRS people are all okay.

Terrorist implies that he's doing something to incite fear or terror among the population to support some cause. That doesn't appear to be the case, it sounds more like an angry guy who just wants to strike at the IRS. Nutjob.

Why would a Communist love an instrument of the state?

Anarchists talk like Communists because of the nature of anarchism. To remove hierarchies, you need to be a strong collectivist.

This post sure shows your lack of understanding of terrorists. That's what happened when you just demonize a word/group. SUddenly this terrorism isn't terrorism, because he was a white American.

Or, you could use another defiinition of terrorism limiting it to groups who are out to use force that can kill cilvilians to terrorize a public into doing what it wants, and suddenly you have included the US in many cases, and excluded many of the people who are fighting the US military presence in their homeland that are now called 'terrorists' because then you can easily say it's ok to kill them.
