I would be playing it non stop but I gave up on video games and moved to the console world. Too expensive to buy new hardware or a new system every time a new game comes out.

Thats the beauty of WoW.. not only is it easy and fun to level in.. but you dont need a monster computer to run it..
56k and intrgrated video seem to work just fine for alot of peeps...

Does anyone really have experience playing with dialup? I'd really like to buy it and play over Christmas break but my family has dialup at home.

I played during open beta, and I spent that week playing way too much, but didn't purchase it because of lack of time to play and money.

I play from home on dial up and have no problems except in the busy areas. THen it's only mildly jerky...

As much as I like Blizzard games, I refuse to buy any game with a membership fee to play. WOW is the only game by Blizzard that I do not own.

This has been gone over ad nauseum in the hardware forum, PCs built five years ago can run current games in console settings (ie. 640x80 low detail).

Keeps out a lot of the l33t b.net k1dd13z, pays for patches, new content, etc. Definitely worth it.

WOW owns me hardcore, i can't stop thinking about it really. Mainly cause i'm forcing myself not to play so i can get some work done, not that being on atot helps.

Is that game any good? I was thinking about getting it but I figured that it had a diablo-esque feeling to it, and I'm not really a big diablo guy... or final fantasy-ish

let me know what the gameplay is like...

Lvl 23 Gnome Mage on East PvP, Lightning's Blade. So yes it owns me hardcore. I've only been playing this char since last Thursday. I gave up on my char on Dalaran because of the 4 day downtime on that server.

I'm on vacation starting next week, so I'm gonna be spending way too much time playing this game.

WOW is probably another one of those retarded time-eater RPG games, where no matter how good you are, the only thing that counts is how many hours you play.
