You asked if I would refuse money in the title, but the poll was actually "would you accept money?" Why did you do that? Now the poll results are 100% meaningless because there's no way to know how many people clicked the wrong response.

If they had shot down the rebate idea, I would have been pleased. There's nothing that can be done about it if they actually go through with it, so why would I turn it down? No one else will turn it down, why should I? Even if you convinced every intelligent American to turn it down, the other 99% of the population would still cash it in, thus your efforts would be negligible in the end.

You can make up to about 87K and still get SOMETHING. Couples is up to $150,000 to get the full amount and $165,000 to get a partial.

I am very fiscally conservative and I have a tremendous amount of disgust for my government about how they waste our (my) money.

I'll take the money if its given, however I won't be "blowing" it on stuff. I'll use part of it to pay for the new tires my car needs, bank the rest. Maybe pay down my auto loan a bit. So I guess in reality I'll be saving it, since the $600 thats already in the bank will stay there.

This along with a big portion of tax return is going into a high yield savings account (like ING's orange account). I will gladly accept it since I make way under $75k as single (then again im only 21 but I do make good money for my age lol).
