An amendment only ratified in 1916 and was originally supposed to be about 3% for most people. Prohibition was the second amendment after this one.

"The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States."

Since when are these taxes uniform?

Federal Income tax is now nothing more than a blank checkbook for our government to waste.

Don't mistake my acknowlegement of the constitutionality of the income tax with approval for it. If I was able to pick any 2 amendments to delete from the Constitution the 16th and 17th would be in the dustbin of history.

Actually, I was at the pharmacy the other day and a woman with a VERY exensive purse (so im told by my GF, and that it was authentic) and very fancy clothes and she was told that her insurance paid for the full amount of the medicine. She says "Medicaid paid for everything?"

Private insurance took care of it, not medicaid. Thats what extended medical is for.

I never have to pay for any medicine, I can claim any psychiatry appointments up to $500 every year, my glasses are taken care of up to $200 bucks.. you might have heard the terminology wrong or the lady is a moron. Either way it wasn't medicaid.

Here is what I am going to do. Since they put the $75K cap and I won't be getting my $600, and I normally spend about $200 in political contributions per election cycle on the Democratic candidates, I will not be making those contributions in the next 3 election cycles.
So yeah, DNC, next time you send me a letter asking for contribution, I'll tell you to go pound sand. :|

well if they are making income, and are a citizen, they'll make money. But since being illegal means your not legal, thus no citizenship possible (actually, it's just if your paying taxes, so people with green cards should be set. but i'm sure illegals don't get pay checks (no ss#), and thus no record of them in the economy.

First of all it's not a 'rebate', it's a 'stimulus package'. If it was a rebate I would be getting some money back and people who didn't pay taxes wouldn't get anything.
