Whats the implication here? Deaf girls have lower standards because they are deaf and therefore less desirable and the
guys on this forum are geeks so they can't get a "hotchick" hmm

I'm open to your explanation.

If the things some guys say in real time are as stupid as the things they post on ATOT would you want to listen to them? :p

What about public events.. going to movies, etc?
What kind of aid is available for deaf people? IE: if you go to a movie do the theatres offer any aide?

Con: Always have to watch DVDs with captions on.
Pro: Never have to talk on the phone!
Pro: You could talk dirty almost any time you felt the urge...
;)

but, ok. I'm kinda serious about this.

Do you like her?

One good thing about deaf girls is that if you fart, you can blame it on her and she couldn't defend herself.

Some blind people prefer canes, some prefer dogs. My wife uses both and is on her second guide dog. They can get around quite well on their own once they're familiar with the route, it can take a lot of practice. Manhattan is pretty damn extreme but anything's possible obviously.

It's cool watching my wife and her dog work, even just to take him out to do his business. He's very alert and always looking around. If a car's coming and it's going to cross their path he'll stop dead and won't move until he's sure all's clear. She'll even discipline him for it sometimes because she's not aware of the danger but he still doesn't budge. Then she feels all bad when she hears the car go by, hehe. Apparently he's had $30,000 worth of training. :Q
Wow!!
Stuff like this actually blows me away!

Do you mind sharing any more stories/anecdotes with us??

Depends. Could it be passed on to our children if we got married? If so, then no.

Lets see..

My wife has a heightened spatial perseption, meaning she's aware of things even though she can't see them. For example, one day I was helping her learn a route to a friend's house that lived nearby. Part of it involved walking down another apartment complex's driveway and through the parking lot behind a row of cars.

Often times many of the spaces were empty, but never all of them. So the way I thought she'd have to navigate it with her cane was to follow the curb in front of where the cars parked. When she came upon a parked car I figured she'd have to walk around it, ie down the right side, then behind the trunk, then back up the left side to curb. Unless there was more cars in which case she'd just keep following the line of trunks. Anyway, ends up she could cross empty parking spots and make it from trunk to trunk on her own with no need for the curb at all. She can sense which spots have cars and which are empty, by the way ambient sound reflects off them I guess. Was kinda a "daaaamn" moment. :p

They main cons that I can think of is not being able to listen to music together and I'd have to answer the phone more often (I hate phones).

Really? Wow, that is interesting. :) How did you guys meet? What was dating like? I worked with a woman that was blind...a long time ago. She didn't even have a guide dog...she took the bus to work and walked all by herself, in MANHATTAN. :Q It used to AMAZE me that she got to work in one piece everyday!

Yeah.
No, voice recognition software is where you speak to the computer and it types it. Blind people can use a keyboard just fine. They use screen reading software, a voice tells them what's on screen. JAWS is one of the best screen readers.

I would be worried about what a deaf girl sounds like when she has an orgasm.... Just have a sock ready to stuff in her mouth.
