Circumcision is rare where I live and is mostly only done for medical reasons. Many people consider it to be a child abuse and is only widely done in third world countries and america.
Would many of you pro-circumcision people also do the same thing to your daughter and if not why would you only mutilate your sons?
I ask that same question to many people who are staunch advocates of male circumcision (who incidentally are usually harsh critics of the practice of female circumcision), and they usually don't have an answer beyond "it's more hygienic", which doesn't matter because as long as you shower once a day and wash yourself you're fine.
Call me an ignorant SOB, but what's a female circumcision?

Ok... That's not really even in the same league as a male circumcision. I'm circumcised and I have lots of feeling.
We had our son circumcised when he was born and will do it again if we have another boy. We didn't do it for religious reasons, more for hygenics and esthetics. And if he doesn't like it when he grows up, oh well. I'm not planning on suing my parents any time soon for having me circumcised. I'm rather glad they did it, actually.
Well, female circumcision
reduces sensation (albeit in some cases it probably just about eliminates certain aspects of it) just as male circumcision supposedly does. Even if you still have feeling, don't you admit it's possible that you don't have as much feeling as an uncircumcised male? Like the article on fem. circ. said, it's also for aestheic appeal, just like some people say about male circ.
