would you buy a house that someone died in?

When my mom checked into hospice, they had the nerve to put her in a room where the last occupant had died. I heard from somebody else that ALL of the previous occupants had died, but that seems ludicrous.

On a less sarcastic note, dying at home used to be normal, and moving EOL care for the terminally ill from hospitals back to homes, or even to nursing homes and hospices, is one way to save a LOT of health care dollars.

you end in a hospice chances are you are dying.

Why did you allow your mom to check herself into a hospice?

If ghosts were real, hospitals would be full of them. Just think about how many people die in hospitals.

To be fair, nobody's determined what makes a ghost. According to traditional mythology, all ghosts are dead people, but not all dead people are ghosts. I got to wander around an abandoned hospital once, including the morgue. Kind of cool, but kind of not also. It wasn't a 19th century building or anything. It was too new to be too interesting, but it's something not everyone gets to do.

only the wealthy get ghost status.

that's sort of sad since I think you are older.

I'm not super old(40s). I play it up a bit due to the relativistic nature of the forums. It tends to track a little young around here. I've had mixed fortunes through life, but the older I get, the less I value money. I value flexibility over assets. I'm adaptable, and can make something out of nothing. I live in the past anyway, so the future doesn't mean much. I just take it as it comes, and know I'm in the upper percentile for people who can deal with life :^)
