No. And it's been asked of me before. It's almost flatterring though because of the reasons it's asked. I'm friendly, helpful, reasonably clean and organized, and not at all violent or aggressive. I also don't have a girlfriend. Ah, ok, that means I'm gay.
In that respect, calling someone "gay" seems to be a compliment.
I really don't care if someone asks. They'll get a factual answer, that I'm heterosexual, and that's about it, just the same as if they'd ask me what brand my shoes are. I see no reason to be offended.
But it does depend on the context. If they are intending it to be insulting, then I'll be pissed for two reasons: Unwarranted bigotry on their part, and their attempt to be unkind to me.
