I don't know if it was the worst ever, but the only movie I have ever walked out of was City Heat. I left after about 20 minutes.

Nope, didn't like that one that much even if it did have Bacon in it. However, I guess it wasn't really bad either so I'll let that one slide as well as being one of the worst :)

As I said, the first one with Chevy Chase and not the first National Lampoons movies is the only one I actually thought was "good". Vacation released in 1983 and I thought had some humor to it. Chevy Chase is everything Will Ferrel wishes he could be. Although Chevy had done some really bad movies as well.

Worst movie I've ever seen was Observe and Report. I would have walked out and demanded my money back but I thought my wife really wanted to see it. Turns out she thought it was the worst movie ever and wanted to leave as well but she thought I really wanted to see it...

I'm not sure if that's my worst movie ever, but that movie truly was downright awful.

Gamer was fucking horrible. I sat through the whole thing so that I at least had the support to back up this statement.

Nothing worse than a person who wants their money back because they didn't like a movie.

I don't get how people think they are entitled to their money back if they didn't enjoy the movie.

Hmm how about original movies that were good, but the sequels that sucked really hard? Friday vs. next Friday vs. Friday after next is a good example.

Honey I shrunk the kids vs. Honey I blew up the baby

Most people don't really understand this one, but Lost Highway. Everyone who can't get their heads around what it really was is typically dumbfounded and thinks the movie sucked. As with most Lynch style films, this one is a goddamn mind-fuck.

Was that the one where the "gamers" control the lifer convicts?
If so, I saw that as well, and I can sum up my reaction to it with D:.

Thank you God, there is someone else on this earth who sees Sandler for the fraud he is.

You are just tired of his shtick after seeing so much of it from SNL. That stuff is OK for short skits but doesn't wear well in longer movies.

I sat through the whole thing so I didn't ask. If I would have left after 10 or so minutes like I wanted to I certainly would have asked for my money back. When I pay $10 or whatever for a 90 minute movie and it's so bad after 10 minutes that I have to leave I'm not paying $10.

If you buy a shirt and find out it has a hole you take it back. If I order a hamburger and it's cold I send it back. You voice displeasure about a product's quality by refusing to pay for a low-qualuty product. With movies the only way to tell the product's quality is to view at least a portion of the product.

If you can't see the difference between your two examples, this is a battle I'm not going to bother fighting

Honestly, it's not a big deal. if someone leaves early, at least before the halfway point i think there's a legit argument. The theater loses essentially nothing in the transaction.

If the customer(s) purchased concessions, then the theater has already made its money. If the theater is amenable to such requests, then they can likely expect repeat business form such petty customers.

I do think it's a pathetic entitlement attitude to ask for a refund for that reason, of course--but it's not entirely a dickish move from the theater's perspective.

and Honestly--if the movie does suck, then why should studios keep profiting off of shitty movies? Of course, they'll continue to profit as long as Michael Bay lives and his idiot fans watch his shit...but imagine a world where people go to the theater, buy all the junk food, then flee the next Transformers or The Rock, et al. shitfest within the opening Act and demand their money back. Theaters continue to operate, studios are forced to reconsider their treachery.

For some reason I need to see this. We have a 'get a stupid gift for someone' every Christmas and this little gem just shot to the top of the list!

Among my favorite comments:

"Awful, absolutely horrible. The only good thing about this movie is returning it."

"... It appears to have been created for the 18-19 year old bracket, and only those with a severe learning disability...."

You should at least be able to get a voucher for a free movie. Or hell just walk out and walk into a different theater, it's not like any of the employees care.

SyFy aside, Ive seen a lot of bad movies in my day but the one that sicks in my mind is Death Race 2000. The original with one of the Carradines not the remake.

Most recent movie I walked out on was "Red Tails".

Don't like stuff like "Scary Movie" or "Date Movie", though I understand the appeal. I just hate them.

The Straight Story
American Pie: Beta House (i like the first one well enough, though)

Can't think of more right now, but I know there are lots that I hate.
