What's the worst beer on the list?

  • Grolsch

  • St Pauli Girl

  • They're both good

  • Another beer that I have posted below

Guinness extra stout is made by LaBatts now for the NA market. I noticed a distinct drop in character when the switch happened. I wouldn't say it sucks, but it isn't the beer it used to be.

Dunno about imported beer, but Coors Light is the worst beer overall. It somehow manages to be both bland and disgusting.

hmm, I had no idea. Actually, I hadn't had extra stout in many years, tbh.

I know that the foreign extra was only brewed in Holland, I think. Or maybe Denmark? and was only available on mainland Europe.

at least, at some time...

cans > all bottles.

cans > keg

That might be, but otherwise, beer in a can is a tragedy.

back 20 years ago maybe, but now cans are definitely better than bottles.

less air in the can, no light penetration, cheaper to ship, far easier to recycle, the linings have reached the point where there is no can flavor. in short, cans are superior in every way.

Cans don't hold temperature as well.

I don't drink beer but from what I remember Sapporo was fucking awful. Japanese didnt learn a damn thing productive from their alliance with Germany.

that shit aint imported, all three big japanese brews (sapporo, asahi, kirin) sold in the US are brewed and bottled here by either molson coors, inbev (ab) or miller.

worst mainstream imported beer is probably tecate. i'd rather drink natty or keystone over that crap. someone bought that in college for cinco de mayo... huge hangover the next day and i didnt even drink much

Grolsch is not my thing. I can tolerate St. Pauli Girl all right, but prefer Beck's (Beck's dark if possible), as similar but better.

Much prefer Belhaven, Boddington's, Asahi Black (not regular or reserve, but BLACK), etc, though.

I've never tried the Beck's Dark\Amber. It's right next to the lager and the light at the class 6 though. I was just so turned off by Heineken Dark I figured Becks would offer more of the same.

I'm on my 3rd one of the night now. This batch isn't as skunky, but it's still my least favorite in the fridge (heineken, stella artois, becks, peroni, grolsch, chimay.)

Heineken just isn't as good as grolsch. Grolsch has a nice hoppy pilsner flavour which is quite good.

Stella is kind of bland. Becks even more so. I haven't had peroni in a long time so I can't recall it, but Chimay is good. I'd say Grolsch would be my #1 or #2 there. Maybe your distributor just sucks?

I ended up deciding there was something wrong with the first 6 pack of Grolsch. The 6 pack I drank last night was pretty different. It was very sweet, kind of tasted like honey initially. I still won't be buying it again.

When I went to restock at the class 6 store the other day, the air conditioning was out, and it was ~90 degrees in the store. I'm sure that can't be good for the booze.
