World exclusive: Iran will send 4,000 troops to aid Bashar al-Assad’s forces in Syria

Let's watch them settle this themselves from afar and stop giving them excuses to drag us down into their mud.

Sounds good?

In years to come, historians will ask how America – after its defeat in Iraq and its humiliating withdrawal from Afghanistan scheduled for 2014...
Stopped reading the article after that biased remark made an appearance. This article was written either by a moron or an al Jazeera associate and I question any of the "facts" contained within.

If US starts sending aid it will refue to lose this no matter what that entails. If it cannot be done with a no fly and giving weapons it will help with troops. The whole thing s totally ridiculous.

Except now stepping up our game possibly involves declaring war on Iran, as we'd have to attack Iranian troops.

Fuck Syria, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan .... and the entire middle east. I am sick of hearing about that whole area.

We should pull everything esp. all the millions of US $ in aid to these shit holes and let them sort out their own problems. If they all gassed and nuked themselves out of existence I could not give a shit less than I already do.

I wish we could leave the entire area, but we can't. Too much trade and oil either originates or passes right through the middle east for us to become diplomatically and military uninvolved. Any disruption to these energy supplies means a major rippling effect to the world economy.

So replacing Assad with a bunch of insane Al Qaeda fundamentalists... more stable or less stable? Because that's what the US is trying to do in Syria.

Sound like someone is butt-hurt that Sarah Palin looks more intelligent on Syria than the Democratic savior 😀

Palin makes a stupid comment about seeing Russia and she's an idiot.

Obama says we have 56 states, and he was just tired.

Even a blind squirrel finds a acorn once in a while.

Palin's said way more idiotic things than just the above. You could write an entire book on it.

Anyone who finds her remotely intelligent in world or domestic views is probably at the same level or lower in intelligence.

Let's just start a world war over this, Europe and the USA on one side with Hezbollah and Al Qaeda vs. Assad, Iran, Russia and China on the other. Then let everyone else pick a side and let's go at it.

WE GOTTA THINK OF THE CHILDREN!! ASSAD USED GAS!!!

World War is the only answer to this!

The administration is worried about the civil war spilling over the borders of Syria or engulfing the region in a regional conflict. Then we go about creating the situation that spills it over the borders and turns it into a regional conflict derp. The stupidity from this administration over Syria is simply amazing. And that isn't even getting into we are supporting radical jihadists with taxpayers money. Some of them are affiliated with AQ for fucks sake.

You should probably confirm she didn't read it off of her palm before rejoicing. In case you missed it earlier, Palin's a lot better reading prepared statements than answering questions requiring actual thought.

I'd wager Palin knows about as much about Syria as she knows about most things, not much. I want to know where her new house is, gotta be close enough to see Syria right? /rimshot

How funny is it the resident forum woman hater picks this woman to defend/praise? lol

I like the idea of quietly giving the rebels just enough weapons so that the rebels and Syria/Hezbollah/Iranian troops can all kill each other.

Palin never made the comment as it's often quoted. Just as Al Gore never claimed to have invented the internet.

Yeah, but she's still an idiot.

Anyway, this is a situation where any involvement will bite us, worse than usual. I think we should stay far away from this one.
