Womens health and recent health insurance changes

Rather than slinging insults, why dont you answer my question other people are avoiding?

She wants a form of long term / permanent birth control, but can not afford a tubal.

If she has another child her income guidelines will go up, will be able to get on welfare and the government will tie her tubes with your tax money.

But then, the tax payers will be paying for another delivery and a tubal.

Guess what, with the higher income guidelines the family will probably get food stamps, reduced or free school lunches, free glasses, free dental, free medicaid,,,, and any other benefits the government will give her.

That the system allows one to be a parasite to society by popping out kids is a shame indeed, but I didn't make the rules. The credit for that goes to politicians.
As far as avoiding kids, there are plenty of BC options. Hell, if it was a man, he'd be told "keep it in your pants." Likewise, she can keep her legs closed.

I know it sucks there is only one form of birth control (tubes tide).

If only there were other cheaper options.

I already gave him the perfect advice for his stepdaughter; oral and/or anal sex and mutual masturbation.

Maybe he and/or his stepdaughter can't/don't understand the concept.

And I stand by those words.

I just wish women had a choice not to be bound to using birth control. That they could be liberated from yearly visits to the doctor and could get away from embarrassing pap smears.

If a woman is married, in a committed relationship, HPV negative, there is no reason to have a yearly pap smear. But yet they have been convinced otherwise.
 
Your step-daughter would have been eligible for a no cost tubal ligation if Obama had not by executive fiat delayed the employer mandate in Obamacare unless your employer is providing a grandfathered plan.

Not that any of that has anything to do with this thread, but the medical profession said in 2012 that every 3-5 years is the standard of care for pap smears depending on conditions/age. Unfortunately reeducation takes time for some doctors.

My experience is that many OBGYNs just don't care about those recs and tend to annual paps because, "that's what we do." Evidence based medicine is for sissies.

Birth control being prescription isn't the norm internationally, it's the result of Americans being childish and prudish about anything relating to sex. If it was over-the-counter you wouldn't need a doctor visit for that. But we've got to make sure girls don't get birth control without parents' consent! That's way more important than preventing her from getting pregnant without her parents' consent!

I don't know where you live but minors have been getting easy access to free means of birth control for a very very long time in a great many places.
 
Clearly the government should also fully cover a hysterectomy if that's her preferred method of permanent birth control. Why are you all so intent on controlling women by not paying for their arbitrarily expensive and excessive surgeries?

They've also been convinced that there's a 25% chance they'll be raped in their lifetime, and that they make 25% less than a man who does their same job. Women are eager to believe anyone telling them they are, or might be a victim.
