Of course I'm going to be picky. Its not my money I'm spending, so only the best!
So, we can arrange the caviar and lobster but the problem is still with the hooker. The agents the government sent to select one got confused.
Of course I'm going to be picky. Its not my money I'm spending, so only the best!
We have a basic human right to decide what happens to our bodies.
I refuse to get a vasectomy, nor will I ever ask a man to get one.
It is her body, shouldn't she have the right to make decisions without men telling her to take a pill or her husband to get a vasectomy?
Here we go back to this I, I, I,,, stuff.
It is not your decision to make, it is hers.
If she wants a tubal, isn't there something we as a nation can do to make it easier for her to access?
I do not understand why so many men in the thread want to control a womans body? This seems just opposite of the abortion threads. Where is the discussion of empowerment and women making choices for their body that usually goes along with this kind of topic?
It seems to me you liberals have suddenly turned into GOP women haters.
what...the...fuck...$1500 is easy to access.

And here we have it. Thread has nothing to do with stepdaughter, tubal ligation, ACA or permanent birth control solutions. And the answer is she has the right to make decisions to do whatever she wants concerning her body and birth control as long as she can afford the procedure she decides upon.
So your step daughter would rather get a permanent surgery that costs about 2-3x more than a vasectomy (which is reversable) just because "it's her body"?
She already has an IUD.
She is interested in a longer more permanent option besides the pill, shot or IUD.
It is her body, shouldn't she have the right to make decisions without men telling her to take a pill or her husband to get a vasectomy?
$1,500 might be chump change to you. If she wants a tubal, isn't there something we as a nation can do to make it easier for her to access?

You're just being a fool and arguing with us because you know we are all right.
If money is the issue, when her IUD runs out, switch to condoms. They aren't expensive and.. Surprise!! They are effective at preventing pregnancy.
If for some reason she just caaaaaan't take the bone with a rubber on it, then I don't see why they would not opt for vasectomy. It's the logcal choice.
You're being illogical, at least you can admit that?
The woman has the choice. She can choose the surgery or not. Just like abortion. Just like she can choose the IUD, condoms, hormonal birth control, or the man can get a vasectomy. Lots of choices there, gotta pay to play dude.
If I had to speculate, my view is negative. She wants the tubal, as to be promiscuous. Otherwise, the vasectomy is the obvious choice.

chicks can do whatever they want with their bodies
I get involved when you ask me to pay for it, which is what you are doing.
Lets do a cost benefit analysis on this. I want to make sure I am getting my money's worth here.
That is not your call to make.
Remember this thing called womens rights? And her right to make her own reproductive decisions?
You are not being fair.
Smokers smoke, get lung cancer, and you probably do not complain about their cancer treatments being part of your health insurance cost.
But when a woman wants to take control of her body you get all pissed off and refuse to pay for it.
For the love of sweet baby jesus in his manger, do NOT turn this into a womans rights & abortion thread.
She is an adult. Adults have responsibilities. She has the IUD currently... Medically speaking she WILL need to stop using this at some point.
So she wants a permanent solution to her "issue". Fine that's fair enough.
Her is her options once she is not on IUD :
Nothing. Raw dog that 'ish and pray!!
Pay big bucks for a permanent invasive surgery.
Pay less bucks for a less invasive procedure... and it's reversible !!!!
Pay way less bucks, and use condoms at the slight cost of pleasure.
Since you're complaining $1500 is too much, and she can't afford more kids.. there's two choices left. But, since you claim this is "her body, her choice" then there is ONLY ONE CLEAR CHOICE.
Either compromise on the money aspect of it, or go with the logical choice.
The cost is part of the problem. She can not afford any more children, nor can she afford the tubal.
So you tell me exactly what she is supposed to do?
Get some quotes on the vasectomy, you may find it's about the same or less.
If this was an abortion, chances are she could walk into a clinic and get it almost for free.
And that is sad.
The same thing can be said about a vasectomy.
The only reason why a man wants a vasectomy is so he can sleep around.
Bull crap. Everything I have posted have has been the truth.

So, in your world, tubal ligation is the only method of birth control?![]()
Agreed, lets not go there.
Is birth control a civil right? According to some judges, yes, it is. There are judges who ruled against pharmacies that do not carry birth control pills or the morning after pill.
If birth control is a right, shouldn't is be affordable?
$1,500 is not affordable.
Did you read the thread?
She already has an IUD.
News Flash, abortions are not free.
lol....You can't get a tubal ligation at a pharmacy, asshat. Don't try to twist anything. The birth control you are talking about are things that can be dispensed at a pharmacy. Not a fucking ELECTIVE SURGERY.
