Out of pocket is $1500?

This is how I look at it, as a conservative leaning adult male: I've never used government assistance my entire life (I'm closing in on age 40). I don't plan to use any in the future. I've never once had hand outs from the government. So pay the $1500 and stop asking "what more I can get from the government and tax payers?"

If everybody has my mentality, we wouldn't be $18 trillion in debt. It's $1500!!! Big deal! Live without cable for a year, and you have it just about made.

My rotator cuff surgery was an elective surgery. Luckily I had hit max out of pocket for the year prior to the surgery so I didn't have to pay anything.

The only thing the ACA changed was the age.

The ACA makes it easier for women to find birth control options; it doesn't make every single procedure free. And she already has an IUD; what does she need a tubal ligation for at this point?

It's your insurance plan. Ask them. It has nothing to do with ACA. Why should elective surgery be provided cheaply when there are other alternatives. Under my insurance it would cost me $25 for a tubal.

what...the...fuck...$1500 is easy to access. Take a peek at the bill after it's done, you'll see just how affordable it was made for her.

$1500 is almost a third less than is costs us to have our second child. Sounds pretty damn affordable to me.
