If you make pitbulls illegal, then only criminals will have pitbulls.

How are law-abiding citizens supposed to defend themselves from pit bulls?
 
Fucking people man. Owners should be locked up and owe whatever they have to this woman and her family. The issue isn't the pitbull breed, it's that to many shit people take on to much for them to handle with pits. One of the smartest dog breeds out there and bred by us for our protection, most don't have the patience to properly raise one.


Also whoever said species in relation to a breed is silly. All dogs are the same species.

They aren't vicious, bit the second part is right. We just need to start stiffing offenders,regardless of bred, much more stiffly than we do. Like I said these owners need to be locked the fuck up and to think they were breeding more. Ignorant fucks, we are already over our capacity for dogs and they want more. Such assholes.

I've seen dangerous chihuahuas... I had one. They can inflict quite a bit of damage if the thing doesn't defend itself. Put a permanent hole in another dogs face because she bit it damn hard.

Oh bullshit, pitbulls are far, far the most predominant breed when it comes to human mauling. There's no way all of that is due to owners being idiots, as you'd see those stats more pronounced in other big dog breeds as well.

You're a fucking moron. People buy pit bulls because they have a history of being used for dog fighting and they try to use them to attack/defend people. It's like saying, "Guns are by far the most predominant way of killing people in war. There's no way all of that is due to nations being non super peace loving things, as you'd see those stats more pronounced in other weaponry (like kitchen knives) as well." DIAF already. A lot of people buy pit bulls because they want to train them to be very aggressive.

I've seen plenty of pit bulls that are very nice and lovely. It's the owners that fuck that shit up.

How come you don't see the same stats for german sheppards and doberman? Both of those are service breeds.

I have serious doubts that vast majority of pitbulls live in the ghetto. The income for the area in the o/p is 60k/year, above average for San Diego.
In line with other mauling reports I've come across.

The perceived aggressiveness of pit bulls is what matters, basically. People who tend to come from the ghetto tend to think that pit bulls be teh most evul dawg evar, yo.
 
I dont mind that people keep pit bulls.
I mind that the same people who keep pit bulls tend to be inconsiderate jerks and incompetent pet owners and stories like this arent exactly one in a million.
 
Why are there never any stories of a home invasion ending in a vicious pitbull mauling? That would be much funner to read that this horrible story.
