Ron Johnson is an embarrassment to my state. I've posted things on his Facebook page, and had people threaten to come to my house and "straighten me out". We certainly don't plan to retire here once we are done working.
You're white, right? Just stand your ground and make sure to tell the police you were in fear for your life. EZ-PZ in WI.

Congress should’ve pushed harder on the voting bill, instead of BBB.
We’re screwed as a country by 2024.

Voting Rights cannot pass through the reconciliation process…ergo a simple majority won’t do it and GQP can kill it with the filibuster. Not sure Dems would use nuclear option to push it through (I’m sure Manchin would throw a conniption if Schumer even tried.)

You use the word creep as if it's moving in slowly. It's been on full display and full speed ahead for over a decade now.
IMO, if they were at full speed, they would have finished the job prior to 2021.

Yes, they tried, and fortunately didn't quite squeak it through.

And they learned their lesson, as per this thread.

Full speed ahead.

?? WI is 80% Caucasian, so this seems like a high probability outcome anyway.
So one would predict 20% of their representatives to be something other than Caucasian. I haven't looked, but I have my suspicions.

Well if the only objective was passing the House, this was indeed done first, mission accomplished on voting rights! But BBB only needs 50 senate votes, rather than the 60 currently needed on the voting rights bill that has been derailed in the Senate.
Two ‘words’ Manchin, Simena.

Negotiating a split is the only way to avoid every state falling under fascist rule. Yes lots of Democrats will be stuck in fascist land, but at least tens and tens of millions will be saved from that fate

It would take years to plan and execute something like that. That ship has sailed. We have to accept that this country is heading towards a period of authoritarianism of unclear duration.

Maybe our benevolent GOP overlords will embrace some form of federalism where we can at least retreat to more like-minded states. But unlikely they relinquish any power whatsoever.

Easy way, just tell them it is your first amendment right to state what you are saying, and that those who threaten you are violating your first amendment. Make sure you call them "not Americans" after replying that they are violating your first amendment rights.

Nope, we still have a shot, I believe Texas will flip blue either in 2024 or 2028, just believe me. Oh and also, Alaska is definitely going to be blue by 2032. Mississippi by 2040 definitely.

No, I did some analysis before coming to the conclusion. There are many white people leaving Mississippi, but blacks are staying. Alsaka is having a booming Asian population, and 2020 was the first time since 1964 that Anchorage voted for a Democrat president. Also according to 2020 census, approximetly 12.2% of Alaskans are multi-racial.

All we really ever needed was for the conservative middle class and their poor to wake the fuck up and realize their very wealthy non-elected party elders are playing them for the suckers Trump himself said they are. If only there was a mandatory class on class warfare that every high school student would have to ace to graduate.

Wisconsin is the preview to Americas future to how democracy dies. First step is the polarize the citizens, next is to start disenfranchising voter and consolidating power, finally, encourage vigilantism and armed insurrections against the federal government.

Democracy always dies at the barrel of a gun.

I predict our last real free elections will occur in 2022. If republicans take the House then that is the end of election results that can be trusted. I don’t see anything stopping the trend.

All the bullshiat about the 2020 results was about 2024.

I doubt they expected to actually overturn the 2020 election, but we're laying groundwork for the next election- with all these states using lies about 2020 to justify radical changes in election law to ensure, one way or another, 2024 goes their way.
